Samsung UN series RS232

I'm using the Crestron module (downloaded from?Crestron market)?to control a 40" UN series through the EX Link port.

Everything works great except volume.? When I pulse either Volume Up or Volume Down the TV screen goes black except for the Samsung volume icon on the left side and a never before seen Volume level at the top left of the screen.

After releasing the pulse the screen stays black for about 2 seconds then the picture reappears.

I've tried another module from Symbol Library in Simpl Windows - same behavior.

The TV remote works correctly and only generates the volume icon on the left side (not the one?at the top left)?TV firmware is latest available.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks.

Re: Nvidia Shield control

There's an IR driver in the files section here for the shield that works.

Re: Crestron centralized lighting control

Yes, as long as the LED's support Reverse or Forward Phase Dimming.?

The question you have to ask isn't can it dim LED's, but rather, if the LED's are dimmable, what kind of dimming are they??? I have seen LED's controlled by DALI, Forward Phase, Reverse Phase, 0-10V, and DMX.?

Re: Nvidia Shield control

Read . Looks like HTTP and IR control are both possible.

Fred.

Nvidia Shield control

How do you control Nvidia Shield TV?

Does anyone have IR codes for this?

Thanks.

No. Read the manual and api for the device. It'll have that kind of information in it.

Dahua HTTP Protocol

Dear All

Any one has module for any dahua product can post it here or any sample program for parsing to Fahua.

Hi Mitch

Want to ask you if this integration succeed with you .

I'm still rocking the ML-500 hehe. They're rock solid!

Uverse ViP2250

I have a remove customer with the new uverse receiver and the old ir driver isnt reliable with it. ?Does anyone have a new IR driver they would share?

Thanks,

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Hi,

you don't need external 5V.
Simply use the COM port of the AV2.
Unfortunately, the C2 COM and the internal COM ports A-F do not support DTR.
You can use the rts line for that, simply connect pin 4 of the switcher to pin 7 of the AV2.
In Simple Win tie a "1" to the rts input of the COM module.

Please provide feedback if this works.

Best regards

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Hi?Crestronfreak55,
Thank you so much for the information. ?Now, any suggestion on how to give 5v to that pin? ?I don't think AV2 has 5v supply. ?I remember relay is 12v, worry it could be too much for that.

Kevin

Re: Oppo HA-1 / Oppo Sonica DAC IR

Oppo just provided me with IR codes in Pronto format for the Sonica DAC via beta channels.? Discrete power commands are not yet available and there are no guarantees that they'll be provided in the future.? Also note that I just received these and don't have a convenient way to test them as my Sonica DAC isn't currently in a location where I can easily hook an emitter up.? So here's what is currently available:

My understanding is that the HA-1 doesn't have a simple mechanism for firmware updates, so discrete on/off codes may not be possible if it wasn't thought of when they setup IR support.? However, the Sonica DAC can be updated via USB, so it's more likely that discrete on/off codes could be added if they aren't already supported.? The bottom line is that there are no promises for discrete on/off commands.

Also, just to confirm: the HA-1 codes do not operate the Sonica DAC.? This is intentional because the 2 products are sometimes used side by side (that's how I'm using them), so having the same remote control both would be a problem.

Keep in mind that these are DACs, so "Play" may not be what you want...

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Thanks,
I shorted pin 2&3 and saw the command looping back.

I use putty to receive the commands from switcher. ?It connect directory to the switcher with USB db9 cable. ?I have tried both AV2 and CP3, same result. ?If I flip the pin 2&3, I still have no feed back from switcher, plus won't be able to control the box.

I don't think it is the problem with the com port. ?The AV2 had 6 built in com port and 1 3com and 1 2com in cage. I tried at least one device out of those three groups and none of those given be anything back at rx$. ?all COM settings are by default value. ?I tried change one com port from 115200 back to 9600. ?Still didn't do anything. ?I think something that I didn't do correct in either settings in AV2, or in programming in simpl that caused problem.

Hi,

check the pdf:
The unit seems to make use of the DTR line.
Please check and provide feedback if this solves the issue.
