Re: TCP Client Stopped working
Since this topic is being resurrected I¡¯d love to know people¡¯s general thoughts on whether or not the TCP Client, along with other IP issues, has been fixed on 4-series yet. I still have several issues with: |
Re: NVX routing with Crestron Home
Hi Brandon,? Because you said manually routing of the NVX works, there shouldn¡®t be a network issue.? ? Pretty sure you didn¡®t configure the routes for all sources within all mediazone. You need to tell Home which source is on? which input of the NVX, which TV or projector is connected to which NVX output. Maybe differently which route should audio go if it needs to be different. That can be pretty irritating the first time and with some setups.? ? So go to the Crestron Home setup app, at the bottom bar use the fourth selection, should be source routing.? Select all rooms with mediasources and mediaoutput and tell Home which sources are connected to which? inputs and TVs on which NVX outputs. Maybe NVX output first to an AV-Receiver input, and the output of? the AV-Receiver HDMI out to the TV HDMI in .? Select the room for the mediazone, activate the mediazone here you can select which sources should be? selectable in which mediazone (press and hold you can arrange the source order) and very important mainly for the audio, go to ?favorite routing¡° (maybe the english naming is little different) and tell which audioendpint to select for which mediasource. These can be different I-Net Radio on NAX speakerout, TV or streamer audio? to soundbar/TV/av-receiver. ? With that the system knows how to set the routes when sources are selected and what to control when audio? level is controlled.? ? Hopefully this helps¡ |
Re: NVX routing with Crestron Home
Yes, I believe that is all set up correct. I¡¯m starting to wonder if it¡¯s an IGMP issue. I¡¯m running an older x440 g2 on older firmware. I¡¯ve enabled IGMP and the quierer but I¡¯m not confident it¡¯s running as it should. I¡¯ve got a netgear 4250 on order. ?If IGMP is not running as it should im
just wondering if the processor isn¡¯t establishing the right connection with the NVX units. ?? |
Re: NVX routing with Crestron Home
Going to go for easy low hanging fruit since with CH that's usually the case.? Since you can make the route with the web UI that leads me to believe that the route is not completely defined in CH.? If you go to the routing tab and the room that is not working if you click on the HDMI out of the D30 is the displays HDMI input shown on the right?? If not then CH does not know where to send the video after the D30 and the route won't happen.? Just click on the D30 output and select the input of the target display.
Hope this helps.? -Jim Jim Felderman President ControlWorks Consulting, LLC Crestron Services Provider |

Re: Roland M-300

I did a Roland switch a few years back, I didn't have a module since all I was doing was recalling presets, selecting inputs and performing an Auto Take. The protocol was pretty straight forward. Controlled mine over RS232.?
Preset commands were PSE:0; PSE:1 PSE:2, etc.?
Auto Take was ATO:0,TAKE SW1:AUTO TAKE;
Selecting Input 1 to Output 1 was OAV:0,0;
Selecting Input 2 to output 1 was OAV:0,1;
Selecting Input 1 to output 2 was OAV:1,0;
Hope this helps.

Does anyone have a module for this? I could really use it. Thanks in advance.

Re: TCP Client Stopped working
This is a related problem, but not the same... however I think this solution may work for 4 series too. In a 3-series I have the same "Link Lost" problem with the communication with a HomeworksQS system. We install this kind of configuration in almost all of our projects and never happened to us before. What other behaviours I notice are:
1. After uploading program it works fine. 2. If I reboot the system, the Link Lost appears and the communication can't be reestablished until I upload program again. 3. If I connect to the CP3N just before the program starts, when it does the connection is successful and about the time some touch panels reports themselves in the console, I got the Link Lost. 4. We have a very similar problem with CP4N, but in that case, we can reboot the system and it works. 5. It works flawlessly in a 2-series. So, the workaround I found is to wait 60s to establish the communication after the reboot. What I think is happening (at least in the 3-series) is that the system does some initial tasks with the TCP stack that breaks this older kind of connections, so the idea is to wait until everything is done and then connect the third party system. I use a simple delay in Simpl, between the signal that establish the communication and the TCP Client. Try that with your 4 series system, and let us know if it works. clemare |
Re: NVX routing with Crestron Home
The NVX and NAX streams are passing through the next work just fine. Extreme x440 G2 switch.? ? IGMP is doing what it should be doing. The problem is simply the D30 stream location won't change when changing the media source.? (basically switching from one E30s input to another E30's input).? I can go into the D30 gui and manual switch it, just can't get the processor to do it.?

Re: NVX routing with Crestron Home
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIn all likelihood, it is a network issue. NVX and NAX need very specific network setups to pass the video and audio streams. Also, look at the thruput on switches, is critical. We have switched to using the preconfigured Netgear switches from Crestron. No problems after that. ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of brandonmadsen25@...

Google TV - Where we at now?
Hello all,
I am being asked to recommend the latest, best Google TV device for a client to Chromecast and operate apps similar to Apple TV but for Google ecosphere. What should I tell to get and what has Ip control? I know Nvidia shield and Flirc works but has basic control. @methdeathx where did you get with your project? Thank you Jon |

Re: Colorlight Z6 control?
Hello Anewdaytotri,
? Thank you for the info and example code for the Z6!? I've been handed a job using a S6F Planar and the protocol looks similar but the S6F manual only mentions UDP connection.?? I see in your code that there is a subsystem folder for "Datapath".? The system I am working on uses a Datapath VSN400 running WallControl 10.? Do you have experience with controlling those? Thanks again! -- Doug G |
Re: Can't connect to a PRO3 from toolbox
Connecting via USB solved both problems? I now have access to both Pro3's.? I also noticed that when I clear MSG aka ERR via USB the led stays off when I disconnect.
Now I just have to figure out why my weather processor 1.6 and touch panel interface 2.0 isn't working.? Probably a port issue.? The 3 series has much more security then the 2 series and I haven't looked at that yet. |
Re: SIMPL# question
Thank you all for replying.? I wasn't expecting this much feedback but I appreciate all your feedback.
It good to know that even though the Jandy RS adaptor isn't made or supported by Jandy anymore that it may still work.? And IMHO, assuming that it still works, it is really the better solution than using the cloud base solution.? And now there appears that someone is making an after market one. Just do a google search for "jandy rs serial adapter" and you will find the first hit is for one being sold on Amazon.? A little pricey at $890 but it may be a good alternative.? Also search github for Jandy and you will find several open source projects using it. |
