Re: Cisco Room Device
I have used many Global Cache Flex adapters with serial cable from VC4 to multiple models of Cisco Room Devices with no issues. Funny thing is, the first time when I chose to use one, it was due to problematic communication from a Series 3 DMPS com port that would stop working after a time for unknown reasons. Connecting the GC via TCP/IP to the DMPS and then serial to the Cisco solved the problem.?

i have an android with App there are differences between Go & App on iPad i.e. advanced slider doesn't display full bar when light on full with iPad App, OK? on Go & android dynamic icon list vertical - App displays all icons too large - looks OK on android, not sure about Go, client is away i know, installer should upgrade, but he missed the free period & doesn't feel like spending US$100 again just venting... |
Re: Evertz UXP Nucleus Platform Control
I am doing another Evertz Nucleus project now. You will need to sign and return an NDA to get the protocol. Once you have that, commands aren't too hard.? One caveat, the commands for routing will change depending on endpoint type.? Fortunately,? there are some easy ways to know for sure. Once you get access to the Nucleus server, there is a feature that will build commands for you with the proper syntax ( once all endpoints are defined ). Also, the routing grid itself will help you see these differences.? Be sure to set API name in each endpoint. This will make coding much?easier.? Yes, support is good.? Ask evertz for the API documment. Their support is great. |
Re: Cisco Room Device
I've run into that using 232 over a DMTX port with a Cisco code, but that was ages ago.? On Sat, Nov 4, 2023, 2:26?PM James M Pedersen <jim@...> wrote: I have some sage advice¡¡ |

Cisco Room Device
I have some sage advice¡¡
Never try to control a Cisco room device with a non-native comm port. Original config was VC4 with CEN-IO3-4 with com 3 card. I was getting very erratic behavior. Codec would not stay initialized. Once I was able to obtain a CP4 with a native comm port, my troubles were over. Anyone else had this problem? |
Re: CCD and Multizone Control
I was on site this morning to put eye on it.? the help file is a little confusing in that the parameter field for the multizone module doesn't tell you that Zone A = Zone 2.? Once I got the timing issue at boot worked out.? It works as expected and I will post an updated example for anyone that wants it.

Re: Hey Google - Australia
Just got around to trying this and it worked perfectly.? Thanks for this info!
Is there a trick to adding more devices and updating Google to reflect the added devices? It seems that every time I make a change (still messing around with various things) I need to completely delete the crestron stuff from Google home app, then de-register my processor on the admin portal and go through the whole process from scratch to grt it up and running again.? I read a thread on here recently where someone detailed the easy way to add/update Google home devices but I've been trawling threads for the last half hour and I can't bloody find it again!!? |
