Well, I didn't have THAT issue...
However, Earlier this week we added a new ATV to an older DM32x32 system. When sending IR out of the Endpoint, it was sending commands for about 2 sec. I really didn't want to Update the firmware, as it's getting Fragile as it is. I changed the CrestronDB AppleTV (4gen) file by selecting all commands and Converting them to "Pulse Only" (and saving as my own). and it's working like a charm now. |

I was thinking I might just add in a few fake boxes to make these gaps, though I assume it would whine about that since they would be missing.
Last night, I adopted 4 units into Director as a test 2x2 matrix.? Routing worked ok, but I wasn't getting any control - that's when I realized that Director's non-knowledge of VC-4 RoomID extended down to the end points. I knew that Director wasn't RoomID aware, so had already linked Director's entry in the VC-4 unassociated devices section. I guess I had always assumed that all comms to the endpoints ran through Director. Clearly not true, since now that Director has some endpoint loaded up and there are corresponding items in the SIMPL program Director tree - Director pushes its Control System IP address to each endpoint along with a 4 digit IPID... but no RoomID so I now have 4 unallocated devices on VC-4.? ? That totally blows since that means that I would need to manually set 300 some endpoints with RoomIDs or do the same in Unassociated devices. I Powershelled all the IPIDs for the other hardware, but best I can tell there's no easy way to just add in a RoomID to an existing IP table entry without deleting that entry and ADDMing in the whole entry from scratch. I'm sure someone could script that to pull the old info and rebuild with the RoomID, but I probably couldn't quicker than just sucking it up and doing it by hand. |

SONY SRG X400 camera control
Hi All, I¡¯ve tried using the?Sony_BRC-X400_SRG-X_series module on the application market. Couldn¡¯t get it to control via UDP. I then used the SRG 300SE module on the Crestron Application Market and got control of the camera but the presets won¡¯t control.?
Any help would be greatly appreciated? |

Yes, you can edit the XML and it doesn't have to be condensed to a single line.
No, you cannot have gaps, which is really annoying, especially if you tend to organize things in groups and leave room to drop in another end point or two so that your OCD doesn't "force" you to reorganize your program just to add a source. I suggest provisioning a few boxes via the director then download the XML so you know the formatting, then go to town. |

OT: Audio for Flex/Zoom Rooms
Hi All,
We have some larger rooms to do with the Flex/ZoomRoom UC-engine systems and need some recommendations for independent mic/speaker/DSP-echo cancel set ups. Room types in question are: ?- Larger conference room ?- Larger flexible rooms, i.e. movable tables that can config to square conference and classroom types ?- Small amphitheaters with primary speakers (handhelds, Laveliers) and audience I'm started to look at Shure and ClearONE. What are others' recomendations for this application?? TIA! |
