I'll give them a plug also. Great guys who provide good support for their modules...

Re: Send myself a text when....

I would also throw out that I believe there are other advantages to using a notification service, like PushOver.? Living in the west, we use the Do Not Disturb setting on our phones to keep from being woken up by group texts from friends on the east coast who don't think about the fact that someone on the list is several time zones away when they send an early morning text.?? PushOver, and some of the other notification services, allow you to prioritize the notifications your processor sends with different priorities.? So, some can have a low priority that obeys the do not disturb setting but others can have a high priority that includes a sound even in the middle of the night.?

Finally, PushOver and Vybit include the ability to use different sounds for different notifications.? My wife and I do a great deal of mountain biking during the summer.? I send out notifications through PushOver whenever our WeatherFlow Tempest weather station detects lightning.? These have a custom sound so we don't have to look at our phone while riding to know that there is a thunderstorm approaching and it is time to head home.?

Hope this helps

Jay

The problem with using the email to text gateways from the cell phone providers is they have recently started putting all kinds of antispam filters on the gateways that block any sort of suspicious messages and you can't count on them working all the time. I'd been sending texts from my Crestron system for years through those email gateways but they just got too unreliable so I looked for another way. My alternative is to have an old Android phone on a $8/month account with US Cellular. Using an Android program called Automagic I can send a simple HTTP Get request from the Crestron system to that phone and it will trigger an event that sends me texts on the cellular network directly. This has been working well for a while, though it's a total cludge.

I would also send those same messages via email at the same time, but that got snarky as the email providers put up stronger measures to stop the spammers from using their SMTP networks. The Cestron emails don't seem to have all the authentication data that Comcast, Gmail and others want to see to accept and send emails. I set up a free Sendgrid SMTP account and that's been working well for a long time.

Re: Elk M1G security panel with C1M1 module. Feedback but no control

They figured it out.... Apparently you can't use the security RP software AND Crestron control at the same time.

Elk M1G security panel with C1M1 module. Feedback but no control

I have an Elk M1G that I'm trying to control IP in SIMPL through a C1M1 module. I am getting all proper feedback and status updates but for some reason I can't arm/disarm. I'm working with the security contractor and they've set the G29-G42 sections to checked for keypad, zones and output changes. I don't know of any other setup or configuration that's required. Anybody have any advice or recommendations on what I might try?

Re: Clearone Converge PRO 2 - ProcBlock control

I figured it out. Just had to use the module for GainMute control and name appropriately. Default names of the demo program mixed me up.

Clearone Converge PRO 2 - ProcBlock control

I am using the Clearone ConvergePro2 v1.2 IP demo project to control a ClearOne Converge Pro2 128VT.

I have control of the unit but I am unclear on how to control the "ProcBloc" entities which were configured by the DSP contractor.?

Control of the MicLine in and Outs works fine. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi All, does anyone have a module for this? I have looked through the archives and noticed the c3-na reference, but it looks like there out of business? Website just errors out. I am happy to pay for a module.

thank you.? I completely forgot to check Biamp site.??

Re: Biamp Tesira Modules Suite

This can all be found on Biamp's support website.

Biamp Tesira Modules Suite

anyone have the crestron biamp module suite for a 2 series processor?? I believe the last I recall seeing (its been a while) is version 1.7.? The help file for the version 3.3 references that for a 2 series processor I need use module suite 1.x.

Thanks in advance

Re: PAC 2 third party integration

While it will not talk to the PAC2, you could install a small 3/4 Series processor and EISC to the PAC2. Then that RTI widget would talk to the newly installed 3/4 Series processor. He would also need the source code running on the PAC2 to be able to make this kludgy solution work.?

That solution is for 3 & 4 series. The PAC2 will not work with that.

Re: TSW SIP/Rava send DTMF

It's most likely an in-band/out-of-band issue.
You can send SIPAUDIOMODE to see what mode it is in.
SIPAUDIOMODE RFC2833 ON and SIPRESTART will set it to out-of-band.
SIPAUDIOMODE RFC2833 OFF and SIPRESTART Will set it to in-band mode.

TSW SIP/Rava send DTMF

I'm trying to send the key press 0# to an old SIP intercom system to open a gate.
This works from the SIP phones but not from the touchpanels.

Is this supported on TSW's?

Re: Send myself a text when....

I know At&t supports e-mail to text.? All I had to do to confirm that is send a e-mail to (my phone number minus the 1 and no dashes)@txt.att.net? Within 5 seconds the e-mail showed up as a text on my phone.? The logic should be no problem.? Just have to figure out how to use that send e-mail module in the C data base.? It does say it works with 2 series.? I don't think I need any other service to make it work.

Re: PAC 2 third party integration

It is definitely possible, especially if you just want to do simple things like trigger room presets (or toggle a few loads).
If you would want to get into full lighting interface with direct load control (0-100%, etc) that would not be easy or worth the effort.

Also, Do you have access to the current source code? without it, it would require a complete re-write of the code to even change a preset. Its unlikely that the source is stored on the processor.
Getting the Source code from the original client/family or dealer would be my first order of business.

Please reach out to me if you'd like to review options or to see if I can help you...
