Re: 3 Series Comparison

RMC 3, wish I had more than one!

Re: 3 Series Comparison

RMC3. ? Have one running in my House. Runs without any need to reboot ?

Hi Dave,

?

that?s actually the approach i was starting with.

?

Regardless of would I do, triggering the ¡°wake¡± signal of the DGE?s SleepWake Manager opens a new empty tab (or layer when in kiosk mode) instead of just waking up and showing the screen that was up before it went to sleep.

?

This is driving me nuts¡

Embedded Browser object may not necessarily be the way to go about doing this for a DGE-100. Unless I'm missing some desired functionality, it sounds like simple buttons or other stimulus (IPT Online FB, Wake FB, etc.) to drive the full screen browser (via App Control Reserved Joins Device Extender signals) would be preferred.?

Hands down - Use the RMC3 as it is a fantastic processor. I own 2 of them and it runs my house.

Steer far away from the MC3 - it is junk.

Re: Serial Number via Text Console

Useful information. Thanks Dave

Re: Serial Number via Text Console

No, it's the TSID (the hexadecimal unique identifier & SN equivalent) that's reported back in VER cmd.
Conversions are done in Toolbox, Powershell, etc. to convert the TSID to a SN in GUI Tools (System Information, etc.).

The conversion is conditional too, based on the detected TSID.
Older devices with strictly numeric SNs use a simple hex to decimal conversion.
Newer devices with alphanumeric SNs use a more complex conversion.

Re: DGE100 browser and touchpanel wake

Hi John,
just tried what you described and it doesn?t work. Same issue...
After reboot, the desired webpage is displayed. After the DGE100 goes into sleep and is waken up again, it opens an additional empty page in the browser...

Cheers,

Re: Invoke iPad keyboard from Simpl

I sometimes use a long-press of a button to allow changing its text. Then a subpage pops up, which has the text entry box on it (high enough so it's out of the way of the keyboard), along with SAVE and CANCEL buttons. I have some notes from when I was testing all this - I'll see if I can dig them up...

Yep - here they are. There's a whole section on making TEXT ENTRY work. It's not specific to the iPad, but should work there too.

Serial Number via Text Console

Anyone know if there is a command to retrieve a serial number via the text console?

Re: IR control thru DM RMC Weirdness

Thank you, David! I will look to try and report back...
Unfortunately if you already emailed it, I haven't received it. I checked all spam/junk filters and no sign of it...

If possible, you could post in the files section for all, or if you want to just send it to me you could use the Wormhole file transfer system and email me the link...

TIA!!

Re: Jet Brains Rider and NuGet

So the resource file was corrupted. JB support is phenomenal, worth every penny.

Thanks?

Re: Error on the screen of the processor Pro3

Edited

Happens on almost every PRO3 I have seen. Hasnt seemed to impact anything.

Jet Brains Rider and NuGet

Hey All,

I just updated my Jet Brains Rider IDE and I can't download the the S# libraries anymore (actually I can't get anything from NuGet) has anyone seen this?

Thanks

Re: Does anyone know how to control LG screen UH5F series and iiyama screens, need some help.

LG you can use CEC, SNMP, the webOS modules (drivers.crestron.io) or the legacy protocol.

For Iiyama,??- the 'RS232' protocol also works over IP on port 5000 IIRC

Re: IR control thru DM RMC Weirdness

I have just sent you by email an IR driver file for LG TV. This has been in use on one of our installations since 2016 using DM16x16 with DM-RMC-4K-C endpoint. It is connected to just some basic LG TV from around 2015. It is currently, and has always worked without issue. KR David

Re: Control Crosspoints #simplwindows

Many ways to do it.? But the way I usually do it is have two sets of crosspoints.

One set is for source or device control.
The other set is for room control (volume, source selection, power, etc)

I keep on the source/device crosspoints in one folder call crosspoints/Source Control.
And keep all the room crosspoints in another folder call crosspoints/Room Control.
Nothing but equipment, control, and route symbols in these folders with the each type in its own subfolder.

That way I can easily visualize how the equipment, control, and routing symbols are related.? I personally avoid putting my crosspoints in modules as I find that harder to figure out which modules are connected to each other.?
