NVX Crashing Processor #cp4 #nvx #cp3

Working on a deployment with 100+ NVX devices on a single domain, NVX Director, Extreme Switches in star topology, and a Pro3. Had an issue where the processor was crashing after a reboot.?

Solved the issue, but in case anyone else runs into this problem, check out the following Crestron support article?.?

It was really great that in multiple calls with True Blue, this was never mentioned. Just happened to find it on our own.?

Because even in the security world a lot of the overflow and command execution examples called calc as it was harmless to demonstrate.

Is anyone adding a flipperzero to their toolkits

Currently have a few systems running with the Cisco 4.0 modules from the Market place. With mixed results. [equip: 4 Codec Pro's]?
I did not have time to integrate the "pop-up's" that are displayed on the Touch10, but plan to dig into it soon. The sample file does have a "Message Window" with a couple dynamic text fields and smart object w/ 5 buttons. Not sure if anyone else can confirm this function and if it even works w/ these modules.?
I know I've personally battled a few specific issues w/ the v4.0 module and found either a work around or becomes a "known issue" till I have some time to dig into it. [Corporate Phonebook being one that is high on the list. Not Downloading the entire corporate phonebook (412 total rows reported when requested) and stopping after 70-ish entries. Anyone know why?]?

@Juan. Curious what issues were resolved w/ mixing in the v2.3.9 modules. If you have time to elaborate would be interested to know! Maybe you had similar issues with the phonebook?

I have a RoomKit Mini w/ a Touch10 on my test bench which has been key in learning what "pop-ups" or additional options are shown in the Touch10 realm. Fun stuff!

Do you want to change the provider mode or just go in and out of device mode for BYOD with the Poly camera/mic/etc...?

Changing providers always reboots because it is changing the underlying setup for how it communicates all the time whether its Poly / Zoom or device mode.

If you are using the standard Poly mode and are just looking to turn on / off device mode you can do that from the RESTful API. I thought it had been added to the command line API but taking a quick look that doesn't seem to be there anymore.

It is only Ubiquiti's Unifi line that cannot handle multicast traffic. I have several NVX installations using Ubiquiti's Edge line with no issues.? I would imagine that NAX traffic would not be quite as taxing as NVX.

However, it is best to route all multicast traffic through a single switch as there is no IGMP snooping on multicast router ports. If you have several switches, you have to make sure there is sufficient bandwidth on the uplink ports to handle all multicast traffic.? For NVX you will quickly run out of bandwidth on those uplink ports.

A lot more switch configuration need to be done for multicast streaming to occur. Ubiquity switches cannot handle this type of traffic properly. Check the crestron help file on proper switch? configuration with compatible switches. Unify is not

I believe there is. Which module are you using to control the webex device? (guessing it's a codec).

If you are using the Cisco Room Devices 4.0, I believe that device has "message center" or "alert center" control sections, which may allow you to enter credentials. I have not had to use this yet, however, so I may be completely wrong.
Text console command to set HDCP support

Is there a way to change the HDCP support of DM chassis input cards via Text Console? I know DMHDCPdisplay shows the current HDCP info per card, but is there a way to use text console to turn support on/off?

I work with systems that have 1-2 outputs connected to capture cards, so I need to be able to turn off HDCP support - which gets turned on upon firmware upgrades. I know I can do this via DM tool, but that tool takes forever to load.

I mean that when you start a webex meeting through the cisco panel, some pop ups appear asking if you are a host or guest to continue.

I am reviewing the api guide to see if I find something to be able to replicate it in the Crestron panel.

What do you mean by "reflect"? Do you want the popups to show up on a panel?

I am also curious, but I am hoping to close out the prompts. Hope we both can get some info.

BR 5812 = SIMPL - CCD Display Module - v1.14-1.19 allocating NVRAM and unable to compile when using multiple instances

BR 5812 solved noting SIMPL+ calls storing data have been removed from v2.x modules.
In removing that code, the programmer must now send the user attribute data in at the correct time - AFTER the driver has been loaded.
The proper sequence is: Load Driver -> Loaded_FB -> Set User Attributes (including "Send it In") -> Trigger Connect

I think that's a valid point, there's no reason to pull up calc.? In the case of the apple remote, with the later IOS, that's just a swipe down from the upper right corner.?

Unfortunately it is not possible. Poly G7500 always reboots when provider mode changes.

Talk to coolautomation support, they can update the unit's firmware remotely to the latest v, which if i remember correctly, is not available for us to download.
