Re: CP4 versiports "locking up"

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

That?s really interesting, Miles.

I?m also using the exact same sensors on the verisport of my own CP3 and they also work flawlessly for over two years now.

Did you open up a ticket with TB? I guess i?ll do that.

?

I don?t have a fix ¨C the only workaround that helps is to reboot the controller regularly¡

?

Interestingly enough, I have pretty much exactly the same scenario. We¡¯ve had a CP3 working for numerous years without a day¡¯s problem. Upgraded the same program to a CP4 and get the same results as you.

I¡¯m interested in the fix with this - if there is any?

TRANE XL1050 WiFi Thermostats

Hi All,
I'm working on a project with (3) Trane XL1050 WiFi TStats, attempting to use the 'TraneClimateLIB v1.0 Comm IP' Crestron module.
Has any one successfully done this (or alternative method)?
I have set the Tstats to reserved DHCP addresses via their Wifi interface matching this in their respective modules, and tried pairing but No Talkie...
The module help does not indicate any 'Vendor setup' other than the obvious IP addressing and the default port.
Of course we're trying to get a tech support number for Trane, but even if we do, I'm afraid I'll hear crickets from the staff on this subject.

Anyone have any experience with this??
TIA!

Re: Mag250/254

Would you be willing to share the IR file? The old yahoo links no longer work. I have a travel job I am not able to learn the remote. TIA!

Re: Controls overlaid on embedded video on IPad.

This is a known issue with the RTSP video window, but I think MJPEG should work. I can't remember if putting the controls on a subpage helps, but that's worth a try.

You can have them behind the NVR or a separate switch, either is fine. If you are behind the NVR then you can add each camera individually by going through the NVR IP address with these streams (may be different depending on the model of NVR):

Snapshot URL: http://ipaddress/wps-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?camera=#&resolution=640x480&username=&password=
RTSP stream: rtsp://username:password@ipaddress:554/Streaming/Channels/101

Fill in the IP, username, and password accordingly. In the snapshot URL change "camera=#" for each camera. In the RTSP stream change "Channels/101" to "Channels/201" for camera 2, "Channels/301" for camera 3, etc. If you need to denote using the sub-stream rather than the main stream then do: "Channels/102", "Channels/202" and so on.

It has been a while since I've pointed towards Luma cameras that were not behind the NVR, but the last streams I used for that scenario were:
Snapshot URL: http://ipaddress/wps-cgi/jpg/image.cgi
RTSP Stream: rtsp://ipaddress/wps-cgi/video.cgi&resolution=1280x720

Re: Finally Certified

Yes, Congratulations!

I finally got certified too at the beginning of the year and was able to attend Masters.
I wish I had been able to set the time aside back in 2005 when I managed to get to do the programming for cert course as it was called back then. Jon Ottesen predicted that I'd get the exam done on the plane trips home (New Zealand), but that was wishful thinking.
Yes the current exams are more difficult and often contain networking requirements that are unlikely to be real world, but I did learn a thing or two in the process. If you can allocate the hundreds of hours required (if you get fixated on something) it is worth the effort. In my case I programmed the solution in a rather complex way using poorly document Crestron methods, and then realised that an IP based approach was much simpler.

Re: NVX and accessing Computer BIOS #usb #nvx

Getting to modern BIOS(UEFI) is a challenge even with directly attached keyboards. If your computer is Windows 10 based, holding the shift key while clicking on Restart button will give you the option to reatart and enter UEFI settings.

Re: Finally Certified

Congratulations. ?Tough job done.

TSW-1070 scrolling list velocity

Hi;

I have a complaint that the scrolling lists (dynamic button list) scroll too fast, and they would really like if I could slow them down a little. ?I can't seem to find any settings to change the scrolling sensitivity or velocity, and frankly it seems like the buttons in the list need to be held a bit in order to actually make a selection. ?I suppose this is just a 70 series feature, but if anybody knows how to make adjustments it would be great if you would share.

TIA

Kol

Great, now I know who to call when I need a food ordering system for my MPC ;)

Re: NVX and accessing Computer BIOS #usb #nvx

I don't know if this will help, but some of the USB devices that I repair will change their USB identity or disconnect during booting or doing firmware upgrades.? That may be screwing up the NVX or the NVX is too slow to do the handshake when the computer boots.? You might try putting a USB hub between the computer and the NVX to maintain at least some type of connection to the NVX while the computer boots.? Or you might try using a 3rd party USB/Ethernet adapter instead and see if the works.

Lutron Quantum Login

I am working with a Lutron Quantum system for the first time. I am sending the phantom keypad commands via SIO but it is asking for (login:) from the RX$. I tried sending admin\x0D\x0A but that does not work. Not sur if anyone knows how to send the login information it is asking for but wanted to try. Any help would be appreciated.?

Thanks,
Rohan

NVX and accessing Computer BIOS #usb #nvx

We are using NVX with layer 2 switching with the computer USB running through NVX.? Everything seems to work fine except accessing the BIOS or boot options.? Currently, we have to move the keyboard directly into the computer's USB port to access these two options.? Has anybody encountered this or have a solution?
Thanks

There's an irony there - just not quite seeing it :)
