Re: Using a 2-series processor for KNX module development #crestron

Edited

We want to establish control and feedback of a VIMAR system (lighting and HVAC to start), which we believe is straight KNX communication but with some trickery in its addressing portion.

The thing is, VIMAR actually discourages 3rd party integration of their systems, so we would be working on our own.

The emphasis on the 2 series processor is because we can actually get our hands on a decommisioned CP2E (or AV2 with Ethernet card) since all of our 3 series processors are already on their respective job sites getting set up and programmed.

If we get this done, we would start offering this integration to our clients immediately (with brand new 3 series processors of course). At the moment this is just a fun little side project to see if its possible (but with the potential to reap some serious benefits since VIMAR has a big presence in the EU and most of Latin America).

Re: Using a 2-series processor for KNX module development #crestron

What do you want to develop exactly? There are 2-Series modules for the CI-KNX:?
You can also have Smart Graphics on a 2-Series but no Applications, one some not even Smart Objects, see? for details.

With 3-Series you gain performance and also the ability to use the latest modules for the CI-KNX which make use of SIMPL#.

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I can certainly understand QOs being need if there is a lot of traffic on the LAN. I am having issues with the DANTE connections with 3 DANTE endpoints and NO audio or video traffic, only control

Re: Samsung Frame TVs

I've had similar results with the Samsungs through IP. I would say they worked 90% of the time using the Crestron driver and I would up switching to IR control. Sony has always worked through IP though.

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

With enterprise level switches, it's best to setup QoS for Dante when on the same VLAN as other multicast traffic like NVX. And with Catalysts, NVX will work without unregistered filtering enabled as the querier and mrouter autolearn functionalities are much more robust than Pakedge (Pakedge is horrible for things like NVX) but you can still enable it with the command switchport block multicast which is applied on a port basis so youd want to do int range gi x/x/x-x but that will affect pulling up device settings in Dante Controller as Dante traffic is seen as unregistered multicast.

Re: Samsung Flip2

We asked Samsung about this last week. They said: "True HEX control is coming for the Flip2, but the time frame is not finalized as yet.? I hope by the end of 2020, but very TBD still."

Using a 2-series processor for KNX module development #crestron

Hello, good morning guys.

For my next personal project I want to develop a KNX module for a possible future integration job with a VIMAR system (lighting, HVAC, etc). Would it be possible to use a 2 series processor for this integration? what would I be missing compared vs a 3 series processor? is the main thing Smart Graphics?

I used an RMC3 for the development of my Bticino MyHome module, and it performed very admirably. How would a decommissioned?AV2 (with an ethernet card) or an CP2E perform compared to the RMC3?

Thanks!

EDIT: The KNX interface is the CI-KNX.

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

hello

i had the same issues , but after i sepeted to diffrent VLANS it working .
i have done 1 vlan for dante, 1 for nvx and crestron devices .on each vlan i did a port for my pc to configure and it fine .

i hope it helps?

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I've had the same experience. I should have been more specific. I'm having a hard time finding mention in the Cisco documentation.

Bond Bridge Pro - module

Hi,

Has anybody integrated this unit with Crestron? Perhaps any modules available?

Thanks

Re: Program Restart. #console

Progreset -p:1 can be used for IPtable addpeer commands for remapping IPIDs for example.

Re: Samsung Flip2

Ok Thanks.
Seems like samsung has not publiced API yet

Hi all,
I need control the new version from Samsung Flip Monitor, (Flip 2 WM55R and WM65R). someone had a success to control?

I can control to previews version, but not on this newer; The Datasheet inform control by RS-232 and Ethernet, but i can't make it work.

On Monitor, I can see a fisical port called Service, on this port I treyed all Baud Rate and after with cross cable. Not worked.

I maked a port scan and I can see ports open: 7678, 9197, 26101 and 38485; ?None Worked.
On the Ports 7678 and 9197 I can keep connected, but do not have communication.

Commands that I Have is:
To Turn On: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x01\x11 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x02\xD4
To Turn Off: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x00\x10 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x01\xD5
?
At no time did I receive any kind of response.?
I managed to control some functions by CEC, but it doesn't have all the actions I would like.

Many Thanks

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I actually found the info about those addresses from a combination of biamp, qsc and shure documentation.? Not much at all from crestron.??

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Just my luck, searches for unregistered or filtering in the documents I have returned no results.

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

Thanks for the help guys.

I ended up finding a handy python script on github that let me figure out the sudo password.

TSW-752>sudo macaddress 0 00.10.7f.xx.xx.xx
Username: crengsuperuser
Password: *
MAC address saved.? Reboot to take effect.

TSW-752>reboot
Rebooting system.? Please wait...

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I had this exact issue using that pakedge switch? a while back.? Ended up buying a Cisco 350x and still had the same problem.? Finally figured it out after a number of headache filled days.??

Do you have unregistered multicast filtering enabled?? If NVX is working you probably do.? That setting will break Dante so you need to forward on some specific multicast addresses to the Dante device ports.?
