Re: CTI-P301
You got this just do it. At the highest level it¡¯ll give you exposure to some new concepts and ideas. Hell you might just excel, and have some new tools for the tools box.? Good luck? J? On Fri, Apr 10, 2020 at 7:22 AM TJP <Ssute01@...> wrote: Interesting.. thanks Michael. --

301 isn't something you have to pass. It's a prerequisite for the final Certification Exam, but, as such, it hasn't got an exam.?
I too attended 301 twice. I didn't have time to complete the Certification Exam after the first time and I felt that my Simpl+ was too rusty to pass, so I attended again. There was now additional cost involved.

Thanks for the response Chris. I wasn¡¯t aware ppl sat the courses more than once? |
Re: CTI-P301
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have taken 301 twice now. I think you should go through it. It will help your Simpl+ a lot, at least in my opinion. Though with online, not sure how the classes will be,but i enjoyed learning and gaining extra knowledge to help me. I know people who went through 201/301 2 or 3 times to get better. Re: Lutron QS
I know this seems too simple to actually be the cause, but in the Lutron module's I've opened up, they use "login:" (all lower-case) to trigger sending the password. If you're actually receiving "LOGIN:" (all caps) it won't work. However, the module could easily be modified to fix that.

Which exact version of the Lutron module are you using? --- On Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 11:13 PM, AVMaster wrote: |
Re: Lutron QS
Ok...so let me attempt to be more specific cause this is really weird.
Everything seems to be connecting just fine, if you view the TX$ and RX$ to and from the TCP client in debugger you can see the module connect and the Lutron processor responds with ¡®LOGIN:¡¯...it would be at that point I would expect the TX$ from the module to respond with the username entered in the core module but nothing happens...it just times out and responds with something like ¡®failed to receive expected response¡¯ or something along those lines. ?I¡¯ve done this a dozen times before but obviously something is wrong... The real bummer about all this nonsense is that I only need to control just a few loads in a theater and a golf simulator, not even doing any extensive integration. |
Re: Matrix Analog vs DM Tool
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIn parallel ¨C out of an abundance of caution I won¡¯t post the detail from the SIMPL Windows Help here but compare and contrast the descriptions of the SBUF and ABUF relative to enable being high. ? The ABUF propagates on transition of enable to high or when a new value on the left side arrives that does not match the value on the right side. The SBUF propagates on any value change but not a transition of enable to high. ? The SBUF/ABUF naming is one of those weird quirks of Crestron that has persisted since the beginning of time or thereabouts. ? If you aren¡¯t using the enable on the ABUF and want all values to propagate you could also use just the SBUF instead. ? ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? Incremental FW Update?
Inherited a job that needs a few programming additions including some S#. Luckily the previous integrator was kind enough to leave the PGM archive on the processor.?
