Re: Sharp PN-LE601 No Response from IP

Are you issuing the RSPW command with the display on? Why not use rs-232 you'd be done in 2 minutes

Re: How to get Mobotix intercom camera working on TSW-1052

Hello guys, while on the conversation, how do you get to bring up the RAVA page for mobotix when someone rings the bell? the only way I was able to do I have to be on the RAVA page in order for it to work.
In other words, when someone rings it and I am on music page I just hear the sound but in order to get the page to Accept or Decline I have to switch to RAVA page.

Have anyone had that problem?

Thank you

Re: NOC Video Wall Help

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

One of the last telecom NOCs I was involved with had 4x PCs in the rack each with a 16-output video card.

?

Those PCs are controlled from what is essentially a KVM workstation with multiple monitors and USB routing (I think using an Extron SW4USB but I could be misremembering) to put the desired windows on the desired outputs, but once it was set up ¨C the intention, at least ¨C is that they are rarely if ever touched.

Subject: [Crestron] NOC Video Wall Help

?

We are in the middle of installing a system in a new building for a telecom company that will include a 2x9 video wall in their NOC room.? The video wall will be driven by DM scalers being fed by a 64x64.? Can be divided up individually, or 3 2x2 screens with 2 individual screens on the end.

?

It is designed so that any of the 8 desktop stations in the room can throw one of their monitors up on the wall to display what they are working on.

?

The client now wants computer(s) in the headend rack that he can send content to the video wall. He wants 16 different software screens on the wall at one time.? I know we can easily display that with 16 separate PCs in the rack.??

?

The issue/question we are running into is how do they control those PCs?? Or is there a better way to do it with less PCs with multiple video outputs?? Is there a software solution that could help in t his situation?? Security is also a huge deal with them...so the person that can login to start software "A" is not he same person that can login to start Software "B", etc.? If it does end up 1 PC with multiple outputs, then it'll just have to be the person with highest clearance that will be in charge of running that PC.

?

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the best way to accomplish this?

Sharp PN-LE601 No Response from IP

I'm trying to connect to a PN-LE601 commercial Sharp Display. I can ping the device, I even get a status 2 back from Crestron, however my TCP/IP Client RX$ refuses to respond. (or ERR or OK just blank)? I have a TCP/IP setup with port on 10002 TV is also setup for remote control. I've pretty much tried every combination and option no avail. I was wondering if anybody out there has any experience with those units. I'm hoping it might be a configuration issue somewhere. I've tried different combinations with RSPW2 etc yet no luck.?

Thank you in advance. I

Re: HR150 - Battery pull/Battery repalcements often?

I am seeing it on one unit in a 6 remote setup.
The remote status signals on the gateway do not show any issues (Bat low, Bat crit, connection state).

Is there a long period for status updates, or do they just not really worK?

Re: HTTP Communications with Camera

Caleb is correct that if you reduce the double \n¡¯s to a single \n except for the set on the very end, this GET command will work. I tried it on my own camera. So far, this is the only ONVIF command I¡¯ve found that will work with a basic SIO and TCP/IP client from SIMPL.

?

It took awhile, but I¡¯ve figured out how to send ONVIF PTZ commands via HTTP URL¡¯s from a web browser, but not able to get them to work as PUT formatted commands from SIMPL. The camera keeps kicking back ¡°Forbidden¡± messages, even though I'm sending the right credentials in the PUT command (same as in the GET command discussed above). Pretty sure it has to with session cookies that the browser generates. I have to provide a password and username on the first command I send from the web browser, but after that I can freely send commands to the camera until I close the browser. If anybody knows how to make this work with SIMPL/SIMPL+, or can point me in the right direction, feel free to chime in.

?

For starters, you¡¯ve got two \x0D\x0A¡¯s between each header, pretty sure there is only supposed to be one unless it¡¯s the end where there are two.

Correct, That is where I'm stuck.

I tried encoding the password this way:

GET /ISAPI/System/deviceInfo HTTP/1.1\n\nHost: 10.100.1.167\n\nAuthorization: Basic YWRtaW46cGFzc3dvcmQ=\n\n

?

but still returns unauthorized error

Re: HTTP Communications with Camera

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Try capturing it using a computer/web page going through the authorization. You will see what it is sending and then you can clone it from the proc.

According to the API guide, they are using RFC 2617, so you would need to add that into the packet that gets sent. Here is something that might help -?

Hey Guys,

?

I am trying to extract some info from a HikVision Camera ( Model, Firmware Version and MAC Address).

I received the API from HikVision and I have my strings formatted so if I enter on a web browser (Chrome)??it returns all the info I need.

Where Im getting stuck is after I make the connection using tcp/ip and send this command:

GET / HTTP/1.0\nHost: \n\n it returns an unauthorized error, which is what I would expect to see.

I tried using Wireshark but I'm not able to decipher how it is encoding the username and password.

Could someone please help me with how I need to format my GET command to include the username and password?

here is link to the Wireshark capture:?

Thanks Neil, that is exactly what I needed!

Re: ONVIF Camera PTZ Control Protocol

Recently I've been investigating ONVIF to control an IP PTZ camera. Looked through all the ONVIF protocol documentation and did some snooping with Wireshark. I found this old thread in here, but I see it's been over a year since anybody added to it. Is there anything new on this front? Has anybody successfully written a Crestron module that uses ONVIF for camera control? Has anybody even tried, or is the Simpl # stuff still broken as previously mentioned?

As ONVIF becomes more ubiquitous, seems like this could be really useful.

Re: Hitachi Interactive LCD control

Great, not the responses I was hoping for, Hitachi says Crestron has a unit they are testing so I guess I'll wait and see what they say.

Thanks!?

Re: Polycom Skype for Business Control

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

They were primarily just interested in the Outlook integration and the one touch join function. I¡¯m pulling and displaying the attendees from the meeting info, but as far as the ¡°live¡± SfB items you listed that are on the Skype web clients (IM, audience mute, add participants, etc.) , No those are not available.?

Behaviorally, client just wants ability for their people to easily schedule room via Outlook meeting and join via touch panel. Any additional SfB functionality would be via laptop that organizer/attendee brings into room, so yes, they¡¯re happy with the setup, but no, it¡¯s not the same experience as SfB on PC/tablet.

"client wanted a similar feel to the polycom panel without actually using the polycom panel."

so even with the touch-to-join you've gone to the effort to make, do they have the ability to see the list of attendees, mute the audience, IM, invite additional attendees, etc? so how similar is it to the 'full' S4B experience is it and are they satisfied?

AFAIK it is RS232 only. The codes are LG. Don't even think about ramping volume. responses are slow as a wet week.

Phil.?

Re: Ecobee Thermostats

not to my knowledge, i looked into and from what i could find it would have to be done in simpl# as it requires secure sign in via the https site but its something ive been waiting for?

One option is to use ifttt, had it working for a bit but put it on the sidelines for now.
