Re: SG - hide leading zero in formatted text

Thanks for the swift response Jeremy,
I forgot about the raw format - duh.
That worked a treat.

SG - Air guage (theme editable?)

Before I go to the extent of downloading the behemoth that is Studio...

Do you guys know if I can edit the Air Gauge object?

I have had no real need up until now to edit any SG objects but the need is becoming all to pressing now for just a few items.

Much as I would love to splash out 500 quid on Theme Creator it is beyond my budget right now.

How much control do I have over the gauge background and indicator?

I need to create a Nest type indicator and find it surprising that Crestron do not allow more user defined attributes in some of the SG objects. I mean the Air Gauge is bloody ugly.

Re: SG - hide leading zero in formatted text

5s -- no need to provide a format if you don't want it.? Search for "cipa" in the help file for the details.? Always good to know how to edit the labels manually.? I avoid the HTML Editor whenever possible.

If I initialise the field with 5d then I get 05s and 60d gives me 60s.

The leading zero is really doing my OCD.

Re: Crestron App set up questions

You get one CIP port per processor, configured in Ethernet Addressing.? Default is 41794.? Different devices don't need and shouldn't have different ports configured, just different IP IDs.? I doubt the port numbers in the IP table do anything since they're just pointed to 127.0.0.1 (CIP gateway, by Crestron's weird conventions)

Hi folks,

I'm not a Crestron programmer but have been maintaining and enhancing my Crestron system (AV2) for years and have "reasonable" skills in Simpl, VT-Pro, etc.

I have been using the Crestron App on a number of devices (previously iPhones, currently android smart phones and tablet and a Surface Pro 4). I have just added the android tablet but can't get it to connect. Having now explored my ethernet settings in Toolbox to get it to connect, I'm now really confused, particularly about port numbers.

The Crestron App devices are on IP IDs 03 to 06 as shown . I have configured the CIP port numbers for each device in the Crestron App starting at 41794 for ID03 up to 41797 for ID06. These configurations settings are working for ID03, ID04 and ID05, but the android tablet on ID06 won't connect (I get the message "connecting to control system", then "attempting reconnect", but it never connects).

My confusion here is related to the port numbers. As shown , I have set up ethernet addressing in the control system with CIP port 41794 and CTP port 41795 (I'm using 8081 as the HTTP due to a conflict with another program on my network). But, as shown ?in the IP Table Set up, all of the devices are connecting at Port 41794 (including the old x-panel connection on ID08). I would have thought the CIP port numbers in the IP table would have corresponded with the port numbers I used in the app configurations on the devices.

My questions are:

  • why don't these port numbers correspond?
  • It's been a long time since I originally set this up, so I can't remember how I allocated, for example, CIP port number 41794 to the Galaxy Note that is on ID03, and I can't see anything in any of the configurations settings in either Simpl or VT-Pro to do that.
  • Given that port 41795 is defined as an CTP port in ethernet addressing, and that I can't see where 41796 and 41797 are defined at all, how come they are working (apart from the new android tablet)?
Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Mark

Re: Control of a Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Production Switcher

This is the only officially-supported solution, using the SDK provided by Blackmagic.? I'm surprised they still don't have an IP API for it.? Thanks for sharing your experience with Skaarhoj, Lincoln, I've always been curious about how well that works.

Re: Max Signals

That would be 0-65535 ;-) ( == 65536 discrete integer values )
The reason for this seemingly random number is simply 2^16 (2 to the power 16) or 16-bits.

connecting remote with cellular data

I have a crestron system setup in my house. When I'm connected to the internet in our office, I am able to remotely control my crestron system in the house. However, when using my cellular data 3g, it says project "Project file could not be downloaded."

I noticed that this occurs only in cellular data. When I connect to Wi-Fi, i am able to remotely connect to my crestron system in the house.

What could be the problem?

This is the total number of analog steps that you can reach, that is from 0 to 65534.
You have to include the zero in the count.

Beware of GimpShop- Even when you do Advanced installation and uncheck all the crapware it wants to install, it STILL installs some spyware on your machine. Akami browser mods, some other crapware as well. So install with caution. I am in the midst of removing the crap now...

There are some 3rd party modules out there. ?Do a quick google search and several will pop up.

I don't want to offer my clients a product that has been replaced by newer more cost effective technology.
It seems that besides from the Crestron Integration part, even Sonos can give Autonomics a run for a lot less money.
Your opinion will be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Crestron Samsung EX-LINK Issues

I will have to open the program and look at the module. The display was a consumer grade with an exlink in, no out. I could of used the MDC module.
