Re: DM/HDBaseT over retractable 40' Cat 6 cable reel
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIf the cable reel is actually rated at Cat6 ¨C there should be no problems at all. ? Have you tried certifying both the reel as a standalone device and as part of the entire run? If it fails it should at least give you an idea of roughly where in the cable path the failure is occurring¡ ? (For what it¡¯s worth, I have DM and HDBaseT running over random what amounts to random scraps of CAT5E at my house with multiple connections with cable lengths up to ~75¡¯ with no problems [excluding the Monoprice RJ45 ends that seem slightly narrower than the RJ45s on the DM chassis so every once in a while I have to wiggle one to restore link]) ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D Commercial Market Director Sr. Systems Architect | Crestron Certified Master Programmer (Gold) ControlWorks Consulting, LLC V: 440.449.1100 x1107 F: 440-449-1106 I: Crestron Services Provider | Biamp Audia Certified | Extron Control Professional ? Re: Swapping Buttons
It depends on if you are using the old style system or Smartgraphics as to how to do it.?
If you're using the classic touchpanel you just double click it and change the active color If you're using Smartgraphics and the button type is an ordinary button you will want to swap it out for an Advanced Button (use the same join number) and under Mode-0 it will give you options for normal, pressed, and selected.? Under selected change state to "Standard Red Down".? and that will make the button red when control system feedback is high.? |
Re: Swapping Buttons
Before I get reprimanded for not searching properly, I changed my search phrasing and discovered that I could create a second button on top of the original button with a different visibility join. This would require me to alter the SMPL program though.
I also just found that someone has used advanced buttons for what I want to do. I guess my question now becomes one of join numbers. If the button maintains the join number I am thinking that I would be okay. Am I correct in that thinking? |
Swapping Buttons
Hello everybody, I am not sure if this exact question has been asked, I have not seen this topic on a search either. So here goes. I am still new to programming and I have been asked to alter an existing program. Currently this is what's going on: -Layout has a MUTE button for audio. This is a standard button in VT-Pro -The MUTE button goes from a black color to a grey color when selected -The client wants to change the selected color from grey to red. So when the audio is muted, the button turns red instead of grey I don't believe that a button will do what is required and I would need to swap it out with an advanced button or a multi-mode button. Since the button only has one digital join, are there any unforeseen consequences to swapping the button out and replacing it with an advanced or multi-mode button with the same join number? |
IOS update seems to have broken horizontal scrolling list on Mobile Pro
Hi all,
client has updated iPad3 to latest IOS and now the horizontal scrolling list in Mobile Pro is very flakey. Its almost impossible to scroll with a normal swipe, however the buttons work fine. Since this is the room selection list it is somewhat inconvenient. I have made sure Mobile Pro has been updated to latest version, and have recompiled and uploaded the project from latest VTPro but still the same. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix (yet)? If not I may have to change the list to a popup page full of buttons. TIA Nick |

I should have read down further.... The zoom direction is combined with the speed, unlike the pan and tilt. The first 4 bits represent the direction, the lat 4 the speed. If it's \x24 the camera should be zooming in at a speed of 4. If it's \x37 the camera should be zooming out at a speed of 7. On Oct 9, 2014 8:28 PM, "Paul Armbruster" <p.r.armbruster@...> wrote:

I created my own Visca module a while back and haven't looked back. You can do everything in Simpl really easily (though I do store presets on the camera, not the control system). I also like to have the speeds change the longer you hold the direction, which none of the stock modules do. It's just analog to serials and vice versa. |

The TesiraForte line would be the way to go if you're going BiAmp. They have better processing, lower cost, and have a VoIP version at the lowest going rate in the business. Their echo cancelation blows away ClearOne, and the don't have all of the "reload firmware to get rid of the buzz" (and other strange phenomenon) you get with ClearOne. |
