Re: Discovery of idoc issue.

Hi
If I log into my router it gives me a broadband network IP address of 86.146.53.238?
Could you help with an example of what's needed here thanks
Sorry for asking simple questions on here but getting frustrated that I can't get a simple system up and running!!
Thanks

Based on those addresses your likely in a /24 network. In such a case all three of the first sets of octets in the IP address must match.

A device at 192.168.0.x cannot communicate with a device at 192.168.1.x assuming a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

You need to change on or the others address to match all three first octets.

What is the router's LAN address (if present)

If I select Ethernet addressing it shows IP address as 192.168.0.4 with dhcp

Or if I select ip table setup it shows me ...

What and where do I need to enter this info
I've gone back into the adagio composer and made the idoc ipid 05 as it

In my experience, crossing your fingers will be the best thing you can do. Of course, stay in spec and use quality stuff. None of the things you mention helped me fix anything when we had issues. Just tons of time troubleshooting. It was always a problem with the FW or Smart-core-graphics 3. Keep in mind that you will be taking advantage of my, and others, exhaustive work on (and cussing at) this thing and shouldn't have anywhere near the issues. You can send me a check for pre-troubleshooting :-).

Lesson re-learned: never use anything new.

I guess if I have one piece of advice: develop it quickly without changing versions of things. I've become convinced that most of my problems now are from hashing through an 8 month old file that version changes had corrupted. Something to be very careful with moving forward.

HP Procurve 2520, I think. It's not the switches, although its odd that
you have had to reboot your switch. I don't think I've ever had to
reboot
any of these switches.

The problem was traced down to the bridge between the panel's comm with
the processor and Core 3. We were able to debug that the panel was
receiving the low level communication, but Core 3 wasn't receiving or
reacting to the messages. At this point in the process, they had

Correct. The sonnex does not get a dedicated ecross. Its signals get connected (appropriately) to each audio zone ecross for whatever you want accessible to the interface or manipulated by the program.

Both of these layers are mutually exclusive connections (interlocked) and
are independent of one another. The xpanel can connect to the kitchen,
then select mirage and control the volume of the kitchen zone and the
functions of the Mirage through the kitchen zone. It can also connect to a
different zone and select a different source. The kitchen zone would still
maintain it's connection to the Mirage source.

Let me start by giving Neil much love for the crosspoint flow charts. I
finally feel ready to tackle the topic.

Scenario-
xpanel turn on the kitchen audio zone and control the Mirage server.
My confusion comes in at the point of having the swampe as 1002d and the
mirage as 1001d (connection fed from an init to econn equipment id). How do
I keep the logic (volume up/ down, zone power, music selections) straight
when I have to hit my equipment ID first to make the connection to the
equipment before I let the logic for that device flow. Ie., zone power on,
select mirage, volume...... It feels like I would need a stepper for every
button to make/ switch the connection to the current equipment
respectively? (best practice?) If I hit volume + then every time I would
need to make the equipment id connection first to allow volume + to change
to the sonnex. Thanks in advance for the basic help

as promised....
so my sonnex would get its signals from the kitchen ecross directly? No ecross for the sonnex, is that correct? This would give the xpanel a simultaneous connection for volume and also mirage control through the connection from kitchen to sources
Thanks again for the help

I have now made a connection to the idoc via serial cable and then by using
the toolbox device tree view and the correct com port.
I then right click on the idoc device and select functions.... Where do I go
from here to make this device discoverable via the composer wizard.
If I select Ethernet addressing it shows IP address as 192.168.0.4 with dhcp
not ticked.
Or if I select ip table setup it shows me ...
Ip Id 05. IP address 192.168.000.002
What and where do I need to enter this info
I've gone back into the adagio composer and made the idoc ipid 05 as it
originally said ip id 03 here then what should I do next?

Thanks to anybody that can point me in the right direction

All equipment is connected to my router what am I missing or doing

Corrosion on DM8G Ports

Last few weeks I've had 3x RMAs on HD-EXT-1C transmitters for corrosion on the RJ45 output port after just under 2 years in service. Now I just took possession of a DM-RMC-SCALER-C that was acting not working right (control passing, video usually not passing), and looks like the jack has a similar issue. When compared to a new Leviton RJ45 jack the difference is stunning. The other ports on these units (HDMI) look like shiny copper / gold color. The units are not exposed to abnormal humidity or anything else, wondering if they had a bad batch of ports. They all seem to be made by Amphenol.

Anyone else run into this?

Test MPEG field for TSW-panels

To test the streaming video or mpjeg of your TSW panels.
Do you have a internet feed you use, a stream off the web.
Something to test your panels against when deploying security.
Don't currently have live security cameras here.

And if so what is the string I would put in the URL field.
Having trouble with that field.
I tried one I had used before in the field in other applications. guest:[email protected]

Yes but I am trying to not use the media player application.
Not real pleased with how it looks or works.

Need way to do this with regular lists, gesture canvas.

Can you put a gesture canvas over buttons?
Basically push through the gesture canvas to select buttons below it.
I am working on something where I will need the gesture up and down,
however I need buttons below to actually select items.

Is this possible? Hopefully I am just missing something?

TSW-750 Issues II

I am having issues where I am using a button that is checked "show control feedback" because I am using an il to drive the fb. Most of the time the fb on the button does not show until I press and hold the button a second time for about 1 second. This is really bad in combine mode where the panels have to follow each other and rmA selects phone controls and rmB's panel shows the phone controls pop-up, but doesn't give fb on the phone controls button. As soon as I press rmB's phone controls button, it gives fb, but not until then. Any ideas other than it is another tsw feature?
