I've decided to only use "release" software, which is sort of hard when
you're using Core-3 only TSW-750s. I'll continue to throw things back at
labs. Core 3 is enough headache for me. I will deal with and work around
the bugs and hope for speedy repairs.

Bless you poor souls who decide to take on DS. This transition has the
potential for heretofore unseen head explosions.

- Try telnet and see if you have the same issues.
- Try some of the API commands and see if the unit is responding how it should.

If not, do that. It seems like the Linux handshake routine has not completed.

Try a hard reboot on the codec, I have several go into a weird state and the module not work.

Thanks. I was looking for a general overview of the different programming aspects so I could get up to speed quicker. I know my limitations when it comes to graphic design. I'll leave graphic themes to those that are really good at it such as guifx, guilink, etc. I tried diving into the systembuilder side of Design Studio and got to a point where I didn't quite get their programming paradigm. I was really hoping for a big step forward here so simple jobs won't require Simplwin style programming and can be knocked out really quickly. I'm sure there will be extensive coverage of design studio at masters this year.

NDAs aside, this is a place for folks who need to get work done :-), not be Crestron's unpaid Q/A team. I would hate for this forum to get bogged down in DS questions. It's going to happen soon enough anyway.


I've decided to only use "release" software, which is sort of hard when you're using Core-3 only TSW-750s. I'll continue to throw things back at labs. Core 3 is enough headache for me. I will deal with and work around the bugs and hope for speedy repairs.

Bless you poor souls who decide to take on DS. This transition has the potential for heretofore unseen head explosions.
