I would also like to know the answer to this. I've only ever installed a few of these. Seems like you have to have a gateway for control, but it has built-in Wi-Fi that can't be used for control.

I just mocked this up with no issue.? You probably can't forward 443, nor should you.? Pick a random port and setup your router to forward that to 443.? Also forward 49300, as you have already.?
