OT: IR Controlled Window AC or Mini-Split AC or Mini-Split Heat Pump
Does anyone know of a standard brand IR controlled window AC, Mini-Split AC, or Mini-Split Heat Pump?? I just need a make/model for some testing I'm doing.? When looking at models online it is difficult to tell what technology is used by the device's remote control.
Thanks Jay |
Pulse-Eight (Zektor) ProAudio 16
I'm currently torturing myself with this unit.? I know that there's been some varied discussions in the past...
If there's anyone that has successfully dealt with this (or the 8 zone) that would be willing to have a quick chat about getting it dialed in, please send me an email with contact info... chris at eicustom dot com A big thank you in advance!!! |

Re: Skipping Program Slots
I have personally started using the following:
01 Audio 02 Broadcast 03 Cameras 04 Displays 05 HVAC 06 Lighting/Shades 07 Security 08 Recording 09 Video 10 Main Not every system uses every slot, so skipping slots isn't really an issue.? I also assign them consistently within the IP table.? |
Re: Skipping Program Slots
Hey Chris,
I'm in the same camp as you, and like you, I do a mixture of custom and Adapt programming. For the majority of our large projects, at least 1 other processor takes responsibility for the other subsystems. Also, I always use the same program slots for the same subsystems.? (p1=lighting, p2=climate, etc.) If the client doesn't have one of these subsystems, I just skip that program slot. With many systems out there like this, I haven't had any issues.? I'm knocking on wood right now!!! It's so nice to be able to replace a security system (looking at you GE), and the main program never changes or takes a CPU hit. Brian |
Skipping Program Slots
Hi All,
Looking for others' opinions and experiences... Because I try to take a modular approach to system programming, etc., and I have a few secondary programs that I use on occasion to support our MAIN program (always Slot 1), there are times for example when I have a project that uses only one of the secondary programs. For a few reasons (not important for this discussion), I like to have each program dedicated to a particular slot. EX: Sonos interface (Slot 2), Lighting Interpreter (Slot 3), Security Interface (Slot 4), etc. etc. you get the idea. My question: If I have a project that only needs a 'Lighting Interpreter' secondary program, I would still like to have it reside in Slot 3, leaving slot 2 and 4-10 open. Does anyone think that there is any fundamental problem or issue with this approach...??? TIA!! |

The button feedback does work and is based on the protocol. Setting the button in the QSX program to ¡°dual action¡± is the best way to get the feedback one would expect.

Re: Comm Port Madness
You might be crazy... but you're not the only one.? I've spent embarrassing amounts of time troubleshooting 232 wiring only to discover that I had F6d the COM port symbol. On Mon, Aug 9, 2021 at 10:19 PM ckangis <chris@...> wrote: WOW!! WOWWIE, WOW, WOW!!? |
