Re: Apple TV 4 IP Control
We all only hope someday to be as good as you Trey. Hopefully you won't move on from us and take away all your incredible knowledge.?
In the meantime I'll keep using IR as for 99.99999999999999999999999999% of most customers it's just fine AND we're not overcharging for a module that they don't need.? |
Re: Filezilla to a TP
Filezilla can connect to touch screens on the control subnet if you set up port mapping on the processor. In one room I connect to 4 different touch screens on the control subnet with the following config:
external port: 8021 - 8024 internal port: 21 use host names for IP Address/Hostname entry |

Starting to feel like Remote Central on this thread, instead high-end Crestron programming discussion on how to take our next-level clientele to the next level of control of products that already come with a remote and free app, while using each other's experiences and knowledge to keep the Crestron client experience elevated above all others, so we can charge a premium for our services.?And $50-60 depending on exchange rate, are you not charging to program based upon equipment, end user experience, and most importantly something different than the other guy? Building interactive GUIs with feedback? ?Those are rhetorical questions judging by the comments here that were not 2-series related. Personally for me, supporting companies who's ownership allows employees to comment and help here during working hours, is a huge asset that is free to us, but not free to them so yes I buy Control Works, Pantech, Jay's, Neil's, Heath's, and Ultamation modules; cause they win awards in this industry, they do the most in depth control solutions, I want our company associated with "those" type Crestron programmers cause this is our lively hood and they make my company better and they help out when/if the Swirl cannot. ? So if I/we don't support these guys then our Crestron portion of this industry will turn into "anybody" can do it it's easy type of clientele, like the other control options are practicing. Does anyone have an IR driver for the Bose Soundtouch 300? ?I tried the Soundtouch 30 codes from the URC database, but that didn't work. ?I also tried the IP module from the marketplace, but it was very glitchy with this unit and is not officially supported. ?I am doing this remotely and hoping to not have to ship the remote in just to learn the commands. ?TIA Tim |

The way you can do it is by using the toolbox script pointing to the correct port.? Le 12 janv. 2017 17:32, "chipmoody@... [Crestron]" <Crestron@...> a ¨¦crit?:

Re: Alternative to Atlona?
funny, I was just talking with an engineer onsite today that said they dropped Atlona use (company wide) because of the reliability problems as well.? Atlona was causing too many return visits and service calls.? Not sure what they are going to use instead though, but it seems you aren't the only one.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýyou can put an entry in your address book: auto ; pat auto,,port basically, fill in the "control subnet" box on the right side of the address entry On Jan 12, 2017, at 5:32 PM, chipmoody@... [Crestron] <Crestron@...> wrote:

"Is there a way to connect to it on the control subnet from the LAN side?"
I *believe* (and could be completely wrong) that when you connect to a CS device from the LAN side using Toolbox - Toolbox goes to the processor's router and creates some port forwards - on the fly, in the background - then removes them when you close the connection.? If you had to do this regularly, I suppose you'd need to find out how to manually set that up on a more permanent basis. ? - Chip |
Re: Alternative to Atlona?

We have been selling a new type of seamless matrix called TekFlex. This matrix comes in 16 and 32 ports. The first 12 ports can be either inputs or outputs. So if you need 12 x 4 just place the cards as you need. Cards can be 1080 or 4K and all have scalers on outputs. Another cool feature is you can route RS232 commands to HDBaseT endpoints from the control port. RS232 or TCP/IP commands are very simple ASCII commands.
