Re: Roomview Connected Display - Image Mute

I have had the same problem with Panasonic projectors. They tell me that Crestron is working to resolve the problem.

Samsung RS232

Tying to control model PH63KPFLBF I have grabbed rs232 modules out of the file sections none of the seem to work. Does anyone have RS232 codes for this model? the tv ID is 01.

Thanks in advance

Re: First CEC attempt, any advice?

LG tv will only respond to and turn on with CEC command, but will not turn off with CEC command so would need to use serial or IR to power off.

Samsung CEC works great for both power on and power off and have been using for 6 months off a SCALER-C and never missed a on/off request.

is a good site for generating CEC commands to trial and error to see what works.

Also libcec has a good vendor support chart at
libcec.pulse-eight.com/vendor/support

Anyone control an LG with CEC? Just looking for power control and switch to HDMI, maybe an aspect ratio, but I'm not going to get crazy.

Where can I get the commands, or are the ones in the file section correct?

Older Consumer TV...so its CEC or IR.

Helping within lighting logic (simulate 3-way control)

Hi,

I am having some trouble with some basic lighting logic.

I have a DIM4RF controlling a main light in a kitchen and another DIM1RF controlling a set of undercabinet lights. The Controller is a PRO2.

I want the second button of the DIM4RF to control the undercabinet lights.

My logic is: If the DIM1RF is ON (using the loadON_off output) AND the second button of the DIM4RF goes high, then pulse the OFF of the DIM1RF. In the reverse, if the DIM1RF is not ON (using a NOT symbol), and the second button of the DIM4RF is pulsed high, then pulse the ON of the DIM1RF.

So, this logic causes the DIM1RF to come on, but then quickly fade off. If I press the DIM4RF button 2 twice, the DIM1RF will come on. On the off side, it seems to function as I need it to.

I've tried using a timer or longer pulses as well as a truth table, but it still has the same result.

It must have to do with the ramping and the status of the Load_onOff output (which equals 1 if the light is >0%).

What am I missing on this? I thought this would be straightforward.

Thanks,
Warren

I use and MX-850 with an RF gateway on one room. In the other I have an MX-980 with MSC-400 and RF gateway. That one has variables so it keeps better track of power, inputs, etc. Nicer system. I also have an MX-6000 and Ipod doc (PSX-2) which are still in boxes. Never had to a chance to play with them yet.
The MX-850 and MX-950 are compatable with Crestron's 418 so I like to keep them around if I need one for testing.

I like the MLX3 also, if you have a clean 2.4GHz environment and are willing to overcome the stupid factors getting it going. But, you can't beat the nearly 100% up-time of the 418 gateway stuff.

+1 on that, and to make matters slightly worse, at least for DMP64, the

says 38400 elsewhere, but who reads those parts?:-)

If you power down and up the DMP, do you get the extron copyright notice

Re: TSWs losing feedback

I noticed a weird issue too when it comes to TSW 750 FB.

With my IPTs using hostnames, if I boot up the TSW before I have it connected to the control subnet on a CP3N, the TSW doesn't get feedback and the IPT on the TSW is offline, but the IPT on the processor says online.(even after refreshing multiple times)

If everything is connected before powering on the TSW, it all works.

Using IP addresses, both scenarios work fine and I always get FB.

Maybe you guys are seeing this too, who knows. Or maybe its some sort of protocol I'm not privy too.

I'm not sure why you were having trouble connecting. That's something I haven't experienced with any unusual frequency. From afar, it's impossible to tell if the panels are working correctly or not. The Crestron guys debugged all the way down to the bridge into Core 3, and that's where they had to stop because there was nowhere else they could debug from afar (which I found odd for a new product). Everything looked okay. They have a real mystery to solve.

One of my techs ran into this exact problem on a jobsite yesterday. We have 5 TSW-750 on the jobsite, and 3 of them had "lost feedback". All 3 were running 1.6.15, and the two that didn't lose feedback were still running 1.5.5. Coincidence? Probably not.

When I tried connecting to them remotely, I couldn't connect to one of the affected panels, but I could connect to the other two to force a reboot. My tech on-site had to manually reboot the third.

Upon further inspection, they were actually sending presses but not responding to any sort of feedback. IPT reads okay on both ends. I can console in okay. Rebooting either the TSW fixes it. Strangely rebooting the CP3 / restarting the program does not.

I did run a FW update from 1.6.13 to 1.6.15, so it may be related to the special, evidently non-release FW we had but I'm pretty sure that it also happened on previous versions also. We've had "mass-unresponsiveness" issues since day 1 but I've never really stopped to check if the TSWs were transmitting until today.

I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this.
