The processor still registers with Amazon or Google, and uses the Voice-Control modules in the program to trigger actions the same way it does with Amazon Echo or Google Home devices, which can be used simultaneously if desired. The TSR-310 essentially becomes another input device.

However, a HUGE benefit of the arrangement is the TSR-310's cloud-processed voice command (i.e., what Amazon or Google "thinks" the user is saying) is fed back into the program and can be run through an SIO to trigger just about anything you can think of. Because of that, it can respond to all types of things that are ignored or not understood by Alexa or Google Home.
