I have actually used the SW-USB-ETHERNET license several times, and it works just fine, as long as you don't try to define a gateway in the IP config for that port as well. I can't comment specifically about dealer cost on that part, but in terms of procedure, answer ID 1000009 does a pretty okay job of laying out the configuration steps. What it doesn't go into is the steps to obtain the license from Crestron. To do that, you'll need to email your Crestron PO#, the processor hostname, and the system key obtained from within the License Management section of System Info to license@.... They usually turn around the license key within an hour or so.?
We've used the Crestron-recommended Portsmith?PSA1U1E and?PSA1U1E-E USB-to-Ethernet adapters with success in getting this feature working.?I'm not sure what info you're looking for specifically about this license, but our technical rep, Ken Box, was very helpful in getting us the info we needed to get it working. In fact, he's the person that clued us in to the existence of this license as an option in the first place.
