Here's what I've used-


Sony XBR RS232 and IR rear input

Turn on 232 mode in TV menu

1/8" stereo cable?

tip- 2/rx
ring- 3/tx
sleeve- 5/ground

IR configured as serial port uses ring for signal and sleeve for ground


IR uses ring for signal and sleeve for ground on a stereo 1/8"
