Re: Sharp residential display

Yes, this is starting to come up a lot. We have to send power on twice for
the polling to show it on. We are also seeing the Sharps stop responding
and even sending back ERR when selecting an input without a valid video
signal on it. It's becoming a huge problem on what used to be pretty
reliable products.

I received the OK\x0D from it. Unless I sent another power on command
about 10s later it would continue to poll power as off, yet still be on.

So basically I had to power on, delay polling for about 15s, and then
pulse another power on 10s after the first power on (both receiveing the OK
command)

you get to wait for a long time for it to come back to normal or pull the
power plug to restart it). Most of the commands get a relatively quick
reply but power on takes a long time.

Did you get the reply after the power on command before sending the poll?

Has anyone else had an issue with polling while display is going through
its
power on sequence?

Model: LC-80le633u

Seems that if you poll power during this time with POWR? \x0D it responds
with 0\x0D even though its on. If this happens no polling commands work.
I
had to buffer serial commands during this time and disable it with a
delay
of about 15s.
