Halloween costumes

I have 3 kid costumes up for grabs on my porch. I have a witch (with a broom), a skeleton and Fishsticks from Fortnite. If they are still on my porch late tonight, I will take them to savers. Thanks! Ashlee

Get out the vote for Great Salt Lake!

This November 5th, we encourage you to Vote for Great Salt Lake.

Our air, water, and landscapes in Northern Utah are all interdependent on the health of Great Salt Lake.

The way we care for we care for these resources is a direct reflection of our desire to create a flourishing home for our children and future generations of Utahns.

While Election Season may have you feeling stressed out (SAME!), your vote for local candidates can and will make a difference.

Many races across the state are routinely decided by hundreds or even dozens of votes, so make sure your voice is heard on November 5th!

From a $2 billion lake economy, to a hemispherically important ecosystem, or the source of 10% of our snowpack and up to 50% of regional precipitation, restoring Great Salt Lake will serve YOU, regardless of your political affiliation.

Vote for candidates who will pursue and pass policy dedicated to rapidly rescuing Great Salt Lake. Or, cast your vote against candidates who have a bad track record on environmental issues.

You can find more information on candidates by visiting their websites or use to learn about your elected officials track record on the hill!

When you hit the polls tomorrow, hear are a few important things to remember:

  • Get PAID TO VOTE: In Utah, employers are required to provide their employees with two-hours of paid time off on Election Day
  • Same Day Voter Registration: If you still aren¡¯t registered to vote, you can register day of at your preferred voting location.

Book Group

After a short hiatus, Book Group will meet Tuesday, November 19, at Robyn's house at 7:00. We will still be discussing Tales of the Chelm First Ward. It's been a challenge to get the book around, so, even if you haven't read it, PLEASE JOIN US! Several people have suggested books they have recently enjoyed. Maybe this would be a good time to throw around some titles for next year and also let everyone know what your favorite reads have been for the past year. If you can't attend, I'd love to hear what you've been reading and compile a list to share!

Thanks,
Margie

Free Granny Smith apples

The little tree next to my driveway had a huge crop this year.? It is a Granny Smith, which makes great pies.? We have frozen about 25 pie fillings, and there are still a lot of apples on the tree.? We won't use them.? So if you want to come pick them, feel free.? All are very easy to reach. The whole tree is only about 6 feet tall.

If you want to know how to freeze uncooked pie fillings, talk to me.
