Readings for next Sunday, July 24 2
Dear all, I hope all is well! Here are the readings for next week. https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/072422.cfm I enjoyed hearing the Gospel this week about Mary and Martha- I heard it differently after our book discussions! At last week¡¯s meeting, we discussed Chapters 6&7. For the last 5 chapters of the book, we are going to change our format. One person will give a short synopsis of a chapter, then we will discuss it. We hope to do 3 chapters next time. Peg volunteered to do Ch. 8, Susan will do Ch. 9, and Kitty will do Ch. 10. We¡¯ll need two other volunteers for the last 2 chapters. This will finish the book! Hope to see you on Tuesday! Susan

Tonight¡¯s meeting
Is anyone planning to go tonight? I believe none of the 3 key holders plan to be there (deb is in Florida, I had something come up, and Mia just emailed me to say she can¡¯t make it either). I CAN come unlock but need to know sooner than later. Then whoever is there can lock from the inside and walk through the building. Thanks Sara-- on my phone. Please excuse any mistyped words as we all know just how good autocorrect is!

Ladies, Thank you so much for the beautiful surprise going away gathering! This group has been a treasure and one that I will greatly miss! Thank you for your friendship and prayers! I hope you will come visit me in Austria! Is anyone interested in a field trip to the Museum of the Bible? I am thinking about going on July 14 or 19 and would love to go with friends. I will probably drive to Pentagon City and metro in from there. Let me know if you are interested in joining me. Hope to see you soon! You remain in my prayers! Mary Chris

D.C. Metro Area Highway Travel Study
Hey all, My husband got this link to do a survey. Turns out it seems that toll company is looking to charge us taller vans more money - probably targeting commercial trucks. I think we need to all take the survey and flood their survey with the response that it shouldn¡¯t be 7 feet but rather 9. I also commented that it¡¯s my regular ride and should have truck plates to be charged extra. Please take. 5 minutes to do this. I use the HOT/V lanes all the time because they are free with all my kids. And was waiting patiently for the 66 ones to open. Industrious Teen/College kid needed
Hi All, I have a massive weeding/bush trimming project in my front yard, and some small bits in my backyard. I could also use 4-6 stumps removed. I have tried a local guy, but he has failed to show up twice. I'd rather pay cash to a hard working kid than get a big company out here. Please have your teen/college student reach out to me about this job if they are interested. Thanks, Sara

Book study - Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World 7
Happy Holy Week to everyone! First, I would just like to thank you all for being so welcoming to me. I'm very new to this group and have enjoyed our study of the readings and getting to know you! We had discussed reading the book "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" and discussing it after some of our times together on Tuesdays. If you are interested in doing so, here's the link to the book on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Having-Mary-Heart-Martha-World/dp/1578562589/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2WDBCHTNVE4WR&keywords=having+a+mary+heart+in+a+martha+world+book&qid=1649858447&s=books&sprefix=having+a+%2Cstripbooks%2C61&sr=1-1 I've read a couple chapters, and I find the author to be very approachable - it is kind of like talking to one of my friends. I hope you will join us in reading this book! I look forward to hearing all your thoughts on a topic that is so important and necessary for busy women! We had a couple ideas about how to organize the book study. One idea was to read the whole book and then discuss it. Another idea was to read certain chapters and discuss them as we went along. I'm happy to organize (or co-organize) this for us. Please chime in if you are interested and which way you prefer to read the book. Sincerely, Susan Autry
