Project-1991 Zzipper Sebring (3-Wheeler)- Southern California

 

Hello, everyone!??

I am the new owner of one of the rare?1991 Zzipper Sebring 3 wheeler. It is a project vehicle. Anyone with any information on this please let me know.??

I was advised the following reguarding the Zzipper
  • Slipper doors tracks are UHMWPE
  • Panels MR coated Lexan.
  • Brakes, Bendix as used on Cushman truckster.
  • Batteries were Trojan J 185 or 5sh sweeper batteries 12v.
  • Charger proprietary design built in house.
  • Paint, Dupont acrylic enamel with harder.
  • Rear and front axles from Commuta car and rear axle bearings a trailer hub, for boat trailers.

I added some pictures and the body shell has cracks and front axle beam slightly bent and the rear swing arm wheel is broken for the axle. Needs a lot of TLC.?

Any input would be grateful, thanks in a advance Team members.?

Are all the body panels painted Lexan, seems weird that they're not fiberglass.? It seems like a unique way of transporting it, however, it must be rear wheel drive?? What are the caster wheels visible in the next-to-last photo for?? Besure the steering wheel is tied down before towing at speed, assuming the front is not the drive end.?
Any idea how many of these were produced?
