Have reworked mine and now Harry's spare motor.
It was great and was fun but not great fun.
i located a source of these 10 spline motors CHEAP.
they are used take outs and I can do new brushes and commutator stuff
and clean and paint them for c cars for maybe $100 + shipping if
anyone is interested I have a triup monday back up by that guy in NC
for monday.
I plan on getting a dozen or so thru the summer
also seems that Etek aka Briggs and stratton
has a 10 spline substitute motor that looks to be a bolt on
replacememnt for these. its a PM (Permanent Magnet) motor meaning no
stator winding or connects
just the two armature leads, 12HP $325 new
