Lithium deals, Running a 36V 3.5HP motor @ 48V

Hi James and All,
? ? ? ? It's fine and comes from the factory that way. I've run my 36vdc nom at 80vdc.? DC Motor voltages are suggestions.? ?Just keep amps and RPM in spec.
?If you haven't bought the batteries yet think about going lithium at not much more cost depending which lead and which EV modules, could cost the same..
Battery Hookup has some good deals that come and go at about $125/kwh lately.? A pair of 28vdc modules would match the controller and charger fairly well.??

Hi All-?

Currently working on a Citicar that has a 36V motor but a 48V charger. Were these models actually driven with 48V to the 36V motor? And I suppose that means I should be following the "48V model" diagrams from this service manual??

The car didn't come with batteries so I cannot tell from that unfortunately.

See below for photos of the charger & motor plates:

Thank you!?

James
