Re: Buying into the frustration/THRILL comuta car experience....charger junk?

checked out all four wheels this weekend
looks like possible small fluid leak right front wheel cylinder
all pads suppose to be new and look good shape
greased bearings/greased left and right spindles
put grease in rubber boots tie rod ends and wd40
sprayed everything down shackles parking brake and any rusted parts
wd40
the bearings were loose and needed some tightening
left front brake were binding on turns
were room to slack all the way out and just little touch on left front brake pads
steering turning very nice now.....brakes go off with just a touch...parking brake solid
6/8volt batteries seem to tap out at 7.5v......so batteries not that strong
moving forward and giving updates
thank you

I use a pro charging systems 18a 48v charger. Works great and not too much a 15a home circuit can work with it. I use this charger and one for the 12v accessory battery.?

It is an expensive unit but been using it for about 5 years with no problems. Takes 8 hours for a full charge with 235ah 6v batteries.

Re: Buying into the frustration/THRILL comuta car experience....charger junk?

I have a Lester charger in a box in my garage, new as far as I remember. If you are interested, tomorrow I will have someone who can lift it take it out of the box and I can take another picture. Where are you? I am in Las Vegas. You can have the charger if you can come to get it or pay for shipping. It is heavy, would probably cost a lot to ship.

It should noted that you listed the 913-4800model. Be careful as that one can't always change to a charge pattern you want.? I use the 912-4800.

Could you post some more detailed pictures of the old charger.? I'd to see if it might be repairable

I've had 2. Both quit within a year.

At that time, the warrantee was 90 days. I see the auction says 3 year warrantee now so maybe it's worth it.

I looked into those when I was purchasing a charger. I thought? with the amount that batteries cost, it was worth buying a good charger for them. I use the delta quik and am very happy with it. I'd buy the lester summit if I did it again though.?

Unfortunately the 3 citicar's that I have owned have all been reduced to parts. What do you need?

The only problem I can see is that the charger is rated at 6 amps.? The one installed by factory is 30 amps. So the downside is that it would longer to recharge batteries?
