Re: Troubleshooting no run
If you have an original Citicar, there is a small #14 wire connected to the frame tubing back by the contactor box in the back grocery shelf area. There was a service bulletin issued to double the small wire to two pieces of #14 wire, so it might look like a double wire.? Tom Keenan

Re: Volt Meter /Fuel Gauge
All of my accessories are 12v, I have no 18v to the dash. One place in my
book it shows the 18awg white wire going to the neg on battery pack. Another
place shows?– to ground and + to 48v. Another place showes White ti fuse then to
battery + neg to ground.
Very Confusing.

Re: Volt Meter /Fuel Gauge
The volt meter is powered by 18 volts. From the frame ground battery connection, go back in the pack until you get to 18 volts (nominal). That is where the E-F gauge volt meter should be connected (via the fuse box). There are two or three other 18v items that normally run off the same fuse, such as the horn and wipers.? Tom Keenan

Re: Troubleshooting no run
I’ve seen this issue caused by a couple of things, including: - Ground wires not attached to contactor , or ground not supplied to contactor mount plate.? - solenoid wires not attached properly. The contactor coil power connectors are in pairs, top two are connected together internally, bottom two are opposite polarity connected together internally.? - ?bad fuse - small #14 frame ground wire burned out (fused) or not connected from pack to frame ground location.?

That tells me two things. One is that your f/r contacts are wired the "old" way, there was an update to change "down" to forward.? And two that your motor works.

SOME TIMES IT HURTS TO THINK!!
I was thinking; If only 11 million people have Obama-Care, how will 24 million people die if it is repealed? Will an additional 13 million people be randomly shot?
I was thinking; If Donald Trump deleted all of his emails, wiped his server with Bleachbit and destroyed all of his phones with a hammer, would the Mainstream Media suddenly lose all interest in the story and declare him innocent?
I was thinking; If women do the same job for less money, why do companies hire men to do the same job for more money?
I was thinking; Each ISIS attack now is a reaction to Trump policies, but all ISIS attacks during Obama’s term were due to Climate Change and a plea for jobs.
I was thinking; We should stop calling them all ‘Entitlements’. Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, ad nausea are not entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts, and shouldn’t be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.
I was thinking; If Muslims want to run away from a Muslim country, does that mean they’re Islamophobic?
I was thinking; If Liberals don’t believe in biological gender then why did they march for women’s rights?
I was thinking; How did the Russians get Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC to steal the Primary from Bernie Sanders?
I was thinking; Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine, but they have a problem with the Electoral College?
I was thinking; If you don’t want the FBI involved in elections, don’t nominate someone who’s being investigated by the FBI.
I was thinking; If Hillary’s speeches cost $250,000 an hour, how come no one shows up to her free ones?
I was thinking; The DNC is mad at Russia because they ‘think’ they are trying to manipulate our election by exposing that the DNC is manipulating our election.
I was thinking; (this was the best) If Democrats don’t want foreigners involved in our elections, why do they think it’s all right for illegals to vote?
Now my head hurts, I’m going to quit thinking for a while.

Throwing a reminder out to you guys be familiar with how to use your handbrake and that it works. Going down a big hill I had a tourist slam on the brakes in front of me I had to hit the brakes hard and now my hydraulic brakes aren't working properly. I had to use the handbrake as my only break to get the car back home. I will be looking into tomorrow to see if it's low on fluid and maybe that's what happened is it sucked air or if the cylinder has an issue. I am getting minor breaking capabilities out of it right now but not nearly enough to stop the car. I'll keep you guys posted if it needs a rebuild or it was just low on fluid.
?The original C-car came with? single circuit brake system.? Indication is only one line coming from the master cylinder.? This is about as safe as a lit match and gasoline.
Most have been converted to 2 channel system with 2 lines coming out of the master cylinder.? If you don't have that, I'd park the car until you can fix it.? I think Pinto parts were usually used but as I hit my 65th birthday I'm suffering from rapid onset memory loss so don't rely on me for that.

Re: Lost my hydraulic brakes
For the rear lights I just have a micro switch controlling them. My brake lines have a very minor leak somewhere I can tell from a stain in the place at parks on occasion they'll be I just coloring on the ground. I haven't popped open the top to see if that could have lost enough fluid to cause this problem. But I didn't notice anything funny leading up to it I've had a little bit farther of pedal depressing for breaking over the past couple of months then usual. I drive the car almost daily so I'm quite familiar with using it and using the handbrake if I needed to. It's always good to be prepared for a failure

Glad you're ok after that experience! My first thought is that maybe you had a little air left, or low on fluid. and when the brakes were slammed the safety switch proportion valve blocked off your fronts or rears due to the pressure difference. Did your brake warning light illuminate?
