This is another Vietnamese airport with easy viewing once air-side. The terminal is clad top to bottom in glass which runs the full length of the building, offering unobstructed views of the two parallel runways. A lot parks remotely here, with the bulk of the remote stands visible from the left-hand end of the terminal, by gates 8 and 9 - though aircraft are packed in tightly so those farther away are blocked by those nearer. The opposite end of the terminal offers views of Tu-134 VN-A132 and a DC-3, believed to be VN-C509.

Traffic is brisk. I spent 1030-1430 here while waiting for a flight to Singapore and logged those below. Vietnamese repeats from earlier visits to Hanoi and Da Nang have been left out. Star among those noted was the PLAAF Y-20 (my first). It was taking home the PLA marching contingent from the previous day’s independence anniversary parade. The two C909s leased to VietJet were a bit of surprise.
