Log and Info Yellowknife May 2nd, 2025

 

"New" aircraft seen today were as follows.

C-GNLW Boeing 737 2R4C 23130 Nolinor Aviation
C-GNWI Boeing 737 210C 21066 First Air Fuse only. Seen thru the trees looking from the NE hangar area.

Got one more full day here in Yellowknife and taking my daughters around town and the surrounding area.

Will have stayed here 5 days, 4 nights and stayed at the Chateua Nova which gives views of landers/departures from/to the south/southeast and departures to the North/Northwest.

There is a further hotel next door the Explorer which would offer better view of landers/departures from the south/southeast but not sure if you would see any departures to the north.?

Both hotels are 5 minutes from the airport.

When in town you want to visit the bush pilot memorial in the old town, as there are some floatplane bases around there. There was probably about 12 floatplanes parked up when I was there.

All in all a good trip with a few gems that you need to go see as they wont come to you.
