howto send from winlink express to BPQmail using telnet on a local host

I am trying to work out a way to send from ?winlink express to bpqmail thru telnet on the localhost
I need to generate outgoing messages to a group and winlink express seems to handle this the best from what I can see
SO with that being said instead ?
?
I saw on winlink express under telnet session - settings there is a way to use the local machine as a RMS Relay. So I am assuming
that I need to set CMS=1 on the BPQ32.cfg port definition but beyond that I am lost and dont see where to establish the rms relay?
to listen on 8772
?
I could also be all wet and not understanding the pipe
?
any guidance is welcome?
?
?
Rob

In Telnet Server config set

RELAYAPPL=BBS

This will cause BPQ to listen on port 8772 and pass connections to the BBS.

now i need a way to remove the
@winlink.org?

since what needed was a way to post
from winlink to boqmail as if the
the message was sourced on the bbs
but it seems it is getting tougher

didnt want to setup a low power winlink express hf user and connect to the?
bpqmail

these users are not hams but rather shares users

In your other message stream you asked for posting a bulletin.? Winlink Express will not post as a bulletin.? It is a personal mail client.
If you are strill trying that...

Wont winlink express add winlink.org if you dont specify a destination ie mycall@bbs ?I found that if I dont specify and leave it without, ?it will do callsign@...
trying to get around that ?I dont want these message to be propagated onto the winlink.org network.. it doesnt belong there.

Unless there is a way to stop winlink express from appending the @winlink.org when using winlink telnet to BPQMail
I will update my addressbook to include the full address incluing @ home bbs

Thanks

Note: yes I originally was trying to do bulletins but found I was asking for more then BPQmail we written for?
so i decided to go another route and using winlink express to build a group address and send it that way

Ok I went back and in fact found that some users did not have the ‘Don’t add winlink.org’ checked
once that was done . it worked perfectly

Thanks

Now that I see what you are doing I can honestly say that I found it easier to run RMS Relay in Local Post Office mode together with BPQ to do what you are doing.? (Sorry John!)
?
If you are a gateway already then you will have to make an adjustment for that.? i.e.? Gateway call N5MDT-10 (for example) that is in the application RMS line, with the actions being C [port] CMS.? and N5MDT-11 with a application that has the action C RELAY.? Of course Relay has to be defined.? -10 goes to the Winlink CMS Servers while -11 would go to Relay and be held.
?
This way it is completly separate from the BBS and the local post office keeps the messages there for pickup by the recipient.? No gateway authorization should be necessary.
?
And, you can configure Express to connect to relay using the Telnet Post Office session.? It works as any other session but does not connect to the CMS, it only connects to Relay.
