CAT Control Over IP

 

I am using LinBPQ and have 2 Windows 10 PC's running Soundmodem and VARA HF for packet forwarding and Winlink.

IC-7300 connected to the Windows machine so that I can use the VARA software using CAT. My questions is there a script
or BPQ Driver that will allow LinBPQ to control the PTT of VARA HF like you can do with Soundmodem using IP address and?
port number??

WinmorControl () can pass cat commands from BPQ Rigcontrol to a remote Windows machine.

I have WinmorControl downloaded but can't find Winmor TNC anywhere, any thoughts?

You don't need Winmor TNC. The name is historic - it works with other soft TNCs like ARDOP or VARA as well.

Is there and chance you provide a sample configuration for WinmorControl? I have loaded and open on the windows box
but can't seem to get the Pi4 configured right to key the Icom 7300, VARA HF opens fine and the node callsign is
showing in the VARA modem window but again can't get the 7300 to key via WinmorControl.

This works here for my 7100.

PORT

192.168.1.64 is the address of my Windows machine - change to suit. Also change the RIGCONTROL line to suit your radio.

On the windows machine run WinmorControl COM1:19200 (change to suit the com port and speed of your 7300). You can either run from a command prompt or create a shortcut.

Make sure the 7300 is configured for PTT via CI-V commands, not via RTS

Yes, Rig Control commands can be sent via WINMORCONTROL. See
