LinBPQ mail forward to LinFBB issue.
Hi all, I have been trying to configure my linBPQ Bookworm Raspberry Pi to forward mail to a LinFBB BBS.
I have followed a number of guides and am pretty sure I have it configured correctly, but the mail never forwards. I see a number of retries (I have snipped the logs to reduce the size of this message). Can anyone see an issue? The pertinent part of linmail.cfg is as follows:
? GB7CIP : ? { ? ? TOCalls = "GB7CIP"; ? ? ConnectScript = "C 1 GB7CIP-0"; ? ? ATCalls = "#32.GBR.EURO "; ? ? HRoutes = "#32.GBR.EURO|WW"; ? ? HRoutesP = "#32.GBR.EURO|WW"; ? ? FWDTimes = ""; ? ? Enabled = 0; ? ? RequestReverse = 1; ? ? AllowBlocked = 1; ? ? AllowCompressed = 1; ? ? UseB1Protocol = 1; ? ? UseB2Protocol = 0; ? ? SendCTRLZ = 0; ? ? FWDPersonalsOnly = 0; ? ? FWDNewImmediately = 1; ? ? FwdInterval = 10; ? ? RevFWDInterval = 10; ? ? MaxFBBBlock = 10000; ? ? ConTimeout = 120; ? ? BBSHA = "GB7WOR.#32.GBR.EURO"; ? }; ?
In logLatest_BBS.txt it shows retries:

As above, I have snipped the whole AX25 convo (all retries) due to size:

开云体育The only thing in your linmail.cfg what I see right away is that 'Enabled = 0' what means that forwarding is switched off. (What should be 1) You can only request reverse?forwarding because? 'RequestReverse = 1'.

开云体育To see what is going on I need to see how the connection ends, which needs more of the trace. Two possibilities are the path is good enough to send small packets like the connect requests but not the larger data packet of the proposal or GB7CIP closes the connection for some reason. There could be other reasons, but the trace will help finding out.73, John G8BPQ On 11/04/2025 15:45, razza30 via

I should have said that I stopped forwarding on the web interface to prevent retries every 10 seconds I would suggest you go back to the web interface, then...

Set forwarding ENABLE FORWARDING checked and the interval 600 or more.? You can initiate forwarding by clicking Start Forwarding.? Set at 10 means that every 10 seconds it attempts to START A NEW CONNECTION and likely is creating an error because the previous connection has not yet completed.? I'm surprised that is not shown in the log.
?
Uncheck Request Reverse.
?
In TO and AT only put GB7CIP for now.? You have the HR routes more than covered with WW in both.? If you look in MESSAGES the 6 messages are already queued to him and this really will not change anything for those messages.
?
?GB7WOR:GB7WOR-7} Connected to GB7CIP
This suggests to me that you are using your call as your NODEALIAS.? If you have NODEALIAS=GB7WOR in your config file maybe you should use something like WORNOD as your node alias to prevent any conflicts or confusion.
?
?
That's my suggestion, but John is the expert.? I hope is gets it for you.
