BPQMAIL crashes after upgrade of BPQ32 to 6.0.24.62
Hi all,
?
I've upgraded my BPQ32 running on Windows 10 to the version 6.0.24.62.
BPQMAIL has been upgraded to 6.0.24.62 as well.
When I execute BPQMAIL it runs for few seconds and then it crashes.
I tried also to downgrade to BPQMAIL 6.0.24.54 and the behaviour is the same.
?
This is what I can see from the Event Viewer:

Yes, I did that. My BPQ32 is at the lastest beta version. Narco Il 2025-02-17 16:05 Ray Adkins via groups.io ha scritto:
Did you download the bpq32.zip file and update the bpq32.dll file ? |
Use your Windows Explorer and go to c:\windows\sysWOW64 and find the bpq32.dll file. Right click on it, select properties, details, and verify the version.
Then check the BPQMail.exe file at c:Program Files (x86)\BPQ32
?
Make sure they are the same version.
?
Don't just assume you did the update correctly.? I don't know how many times I screwed the pooch doing an update.

I've double checked the version of the DLL and the version of BPQMail. Both are to 6.0.24.62. Where can I look for more clues ? The BPQMail keeps crashing after 10 seconds (more or less). Apparently there's a conflict with the bpq32.dll. Thanks. Marco Il 2025-02-17 16:42 Mark Taylor ha scritto:

Hi John,
?
I'm still stuck with this issue.?
I have also tried to revert back to BPQMAIL 6.0.24.54, but still the BPQMAIL crashes after approximately 10 seconds.
?
I really don't want to downgrade the BPQ32 to a previous version since we just saw the benefits of implementing the WhatsPac application.
?
What can I do the better investigate the problem ?
?
Thanks.

Marco Do you have debugview installed? Run bpwlqmail and see what is says.? It is probably a malformed message or dirmes.sys file? Steve On Tue, 18 Feb 2025, 11:32 Marco Di Martino via , <iw2ohx=[email protected]> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis suggests a corrupt configuration. Can you send me your BPQMail.cfg and I'll have a look? Or maybe just zip and send your whole bpq32 data tree and I'll run it under the debugger. But that is likely to be too big to send via email. 73, John On 18/02/2025 11:32, Marco Di Martino

I don't see anything special in the DebugView. I noticed BPQ32 created a minidump file. Attached here. Marco Il 2025-02-18 12:59 Steve G7TAJ via groups.io ha scritto:

The problem is in bpq32.dll so reverting bpqmail.exe wouldn't help .54 of bpq32.dll should have worked. Can you try this: Thanks, John On 18/02/2025 13:19, Marco Di Martino wrote:

it's in testing right now. It seems to be stable. No crashes so far. Thanks a lot for your swift intervention. 73 de iw2ohx Marco Il 2025-02-18 21:08 John G8BPQ via groups.io ha scritto:
