I just wanted to post to folks who may experience lag with BPQ and rigctl(d).exe commands. It seems that there is something different in 4.6.1 that causes lag. Im not sure as I did not deep dive into each revision.
But I went to version 4.1 hamlib and the issue went away. Others may wish to vet this further. Hamlib loves to change things around so often it is kind of a rolling target.
Here I would use something like HAMLIB=3333 or so on in your rigcontrol lines then fire something like 'rigctl -m 2 -r $IP_OF_BPQ:3333 f' and it will take just sometimes 10-20 seconds to return results. As noted earlier trying 4.1 rev of stable seemed to knock out the delays.
