LinBPQ Node remove all BBS & Chat from bpq32.cfg
Adrian,
I'm not sure about how to remove the functions, but they can be disabled. Delete or comment out the "APPLICATION" entries to disable those functions. Here is what my .cfg file looks like with BBS and chat disabled. I didn't delet the lines, I just added a semicolon (;) to the begining so that linbpq ignores the entry. ;----- Applications ----- ;APPLICATION 1,BBS,,WB9TEN-2,,0 ;APPLICATION 2,RMS,C 1 CMS,WB9TEN-10,,0 ;APPLICATION 3,CHAT,,WB9TEN-4,,0 ;LINMAIL ;LINCHAT I have only tested with the Telenet port. Not sure what happens on a radio port. -- Dave Menges |
Remove the BBS and Chat application lines and the LINMAIL and LINCHAT lines from bpq32.cfg. You could remove the bbs and chat config files, but I'd just leave them in case I decided to use them in the future.? 73, John? On 2 Jun 2024 19:00, Adrian Lane <adylane@...> wrote: Hi All, |

Should be the same as the NODECALL and NODEALIAS.
Or something like that.

I don't know if the linux versions use it, but also look for a BBS=1 configuration, and set it to BBS=0.? I don't remember is SIMPLE sets this or not but would imagine setting BBS=0 would take care of either case.
