Thanks Jouko, I am seeing progress with your recommendations. This is the configuration which now PTT is working from BPQ but it looks like the audio from the PC is not being transmitted by the radio:

Levels seem ok, alc meter is zero and power out is 50w (half power) What else would cause the PTC to return an error status when attempting to connect to remote bbs?

So continuing this thread. I did find out I need a serial to USB Cat cable for the Kenwood TS-480, it was purchased and installed. I am able to make WSTJ-X work with FT8 with FLRIG CAT for PTT and
