Well i wanted add some routes to my AXIP route and the new ones do not work. Nothing shows up in my AXIP port resolver or the MHeard window. The person I am mapped to sees me in his port resolver abut that is all. I currently has three people mapped but have not been able to add anyone else so far. Any ideas?

Providing RMS via AREDN from LinBPQ

Hello

Can a LinBPQ connected to a AREDN node provide a RMS service via AREDN?

Update for Version 6.0.23.1

Hello Group

John added a update to his Beta URL, there was a problem with the commands NOD ADD or DEL using BPQ Terminal
Sysop Command

I see the same from time to time, I think it may pop in there from the BPQ32 Node Quality Normalizer
but usually is from another node other then mine, the BPQNODES.DAT file
?
I sent the rest of the information direct to your email because of the command, you will understand
after you receive my email.
?
I will check with John as to the failure with the command, it did work in previous version of 6.0.23.1

255 error

Richard Hendricks - KE0GB

From time-to-time, I see some nodes exhibiting what i call the "255 error".? ?I lose
without notice, an AXIP link to some of my partners, and see the link from my node
to my partner's node up, but on their end, I see this:

no ke0gb-7

QINOD:KQ0I-7} Routes to: COSCO:KE0GB-7

192 255 1 KE0GB-7? ? ? ? ?<-------? 255 in the second place

144 5 1 KM8V-7

Notice the "255" figure in the obsolescence place.? I've seen this on several nodes

going back several versions.? I've asked the partner to shut down their BPQ32,
remove the BPQNodes.dat file, and reboot.? This, of course, is a workaround,
but I'm wondering how this develops in the first place.

I recently started seeing W0ARP's BBS using his fallback routing over 2m
and checked his AXIP routing to AC0VC's BBS:

?no ac0vc-7

PHYLNS:W0ARP-7} Routes to: VCBPQ:AC0VC-7

192 255 1 AC0VC-7? ? ?<-----again, that 255 figure the obsolescence

144 5 1 N0HI-7

How is this 255 figure creeping into our nodes?

Re: WinRPR + ic7100 to rigctld PTT

HI

That seemed to be the final part.? I had tried it before and failed, but failed to recall I had something else using that serial port at the time and forgot to disable it.? Thanks again!

Try without PTT_SETS_INPUT on the KX3 port. That is for radios with built in soundcards. But it should work on the 7100.

The software should append a "T" to the Rigcontrol display when it tries to transmit. If that appears then the modem is successfully asking for PTT but there is something wrong with the? PTT signal to the radio. If not it suggests there is a problem with the modem to bpq communication.

My apologies for taking up time on the list.? I cannot recreate the problem today.? All works as it should.? I hate it when something seems to go wrong and then I can't recreate it but we'll see down the road.? Thanks for everyone's input.??

Re: WinRPR + ic7100 to rigctld PTT

I've just checked and I haven't uploaded the latest rigcontrol docs. I'll do that when I? get home.? Basically the number after RADIO needs to match the INTERLOCK param in the port config. Yes, just use a different serial pair and hamlib port.

Re: VARA Speeds IN and OUT of BPQ32 RMS

Yes, the calling station is licensed The test was to have the calling station send a message with an 18K attachment which averaged 21K BPS. Then the message was forwarded to the calling station who used VARA FM to retrieve the message from the CMS which only ran at 566bps. More tests today if time permits.?

The licence check is applied to the calling station. Does the calling station have a licence?

That might suggest it in running unlicenced. Are you sure you are using the call that is registered?

With VARA HF you get a message in the status window showing if it is registered but I'm not sure if VARA FM does the same.

Re: VARA Speeds IN and OUT of BPQ32 RMS

Isn’t FM9600 is setting a maximum speed limit in this config? It may be a suspect. I’d remove it and see if it makes a difference.

?

I may be confused (take it easy on packet nebie here), but I read someplace in that groups rules that packet BBS’s are not supposed to be on that net? Or is it just BBS to BBS communications that are not supposed to be on that band?

Hi Joshua,

?

One more question if you have time.

?

What frequency do you normally run on HF? I see two in your ID line: 14.105/7.104

?

Which one do you normally find the most activity on? I am in FL and propagation is not all that great on a good day, I think the heat kills me.

?

Thanks,

-Chris

Oh, and I left out my PTT config line from the instructions because from what I understand, the Signalink uses VOX.? If I'm wrong, we can discuss that.
