That totally makes sense.? My neighbor is running all of his packet stuff with a low power budget (solar) nodes. And come to think of it, most of his nodes routes do not work very well -- let me offer to buy him a bigger solar panel.

That's a configuration for ARDOP, not Pactor.

What is in your Pactor port configuration?

know if UZ7HO's soundcard driver shows the fault.? Easy way to check, is to connect
to your own BBS, RMS, or CHAT calls from your RF ports and digipeat from someone
back to yourself.? If it redirects to your node call after two SABMs, then you'll know.

Ray, it appears that you are mixing two different digital ports (ARDOP and SCS PACTOR) into one defined port.
You need to split the two up into proper Ports deffinitions. See the BPQ docs for ARDOP and SCS PACTOR.
They have different drivers associated for each digital protocol.
For me, I have the SCS PACTOR defined in the first Port which is associated with the ACC radio connection.
The next Port defines the other digital mode (ARDOP or VARA) and that is associated with my radio's internal soundmodem.
Both Ports use the same radio and have a common Interlock number. INTERLOCK=1
That same Interlock number is defined in the new rigcontrol section outside of the 2 unique Ports as RADIO=1. For me, that is the radio's USB COM interface.
Your setup may be different so reading the doc's is a must.

Btw, I would welcome suggestions on using SCS 7400 Dragon pactor/robust modem and RIGblaster Advantage sound-card interface I use for HF packet mode in parallel with a single HF radio. For now I use each of those devices alone, so I re-connect their audio cables when change from pactor to HF packet at the same radio in the local ham club. (Each device connects to the same MIC & headphones jacks on the front panel of the radio, FT-1000MP.) All works well.

I'd like to avoid re-connecting cables when change working modes, but to stay on the safe side regarding possible damages to either the club's radio and the modem & interface. (SCS 7400 and RIGblaster Advantage use two USB jacks of the computer, the former uses an external 12VDC power supply while the latter is energized by the USB jack. I suppose that in case of binding their audio cables together before the radio's jacks, there might appear some parasitic currents in the loop or like, and I wonder what might be the safest to do. Some folks here suggested to think about some filtering/shielding electronics in between the radio and that 'joint' cabling ...)

Any experience with?

I am just guessing ... you have defined P123 for pactor mode in your RIGCONTROL segment of a non-pactor port. On the other side, in your recent post you did not have some similar in your pactor port. Could it be that something like that prevents listening for incoming pactor connections?

Assuming that the address of the LinBPQ machine is 192.168.1.101 this is how it should work.

LinBPQ IP Gateway communicates with machines on the same LAN, including the LinBPQ host, using NAT.? On my machine, which has a LAN IP address of 192.168.1.44 and an AMPR address of 192.168.56.7 the nat command returns:

I have found that 6.0.21.20 is good, so it appears to have started at version

These are the environment or global settings, prior to port 1.
T3=180 means your node is going to poll other nodes every 180 seconds.

You can remove the SIMPLE command and add these, and adjust the values as needed.

For example:

T3=900 ; will poll other nodes every 900 seconds, or 15 min.

You could also use the NOKEEPALIVES=1 in any port setting to prevent polling altogether
The heard nodes would still add to the route table and remain until they are no longer heard.

It appears that a bug has crept into 6.0.21.23, giving me the results that I opened this
thread with.? The following versions were tested and found to be working as intended:
6.0.21: .1, .2, .6, .12, and 19.? I didn't have the opportunity to download and test other
beta-versions, except these.
