Re: Configure axip port in bpq32.cfg
Thanks everyone
?
well i removed the 10092 port and now my bind error is gone, but i don¡¯t see the 10093 port in the netstat command, i see other linbpq ports in the Listen state but not 10093.
?
made sure the port is also open in my router.
?
I will look at it again tomorrow AM!
?
happy Memorial Day to my American friends on here!

Re: Configure axip port in bpq32.cfg
Comment out the UDP 10092 line.? It does not seem like you need it with this configuration.
?
Kill the BPQ process.? If Windows start up the task manager and look for any 'phantom' bpq process that should not be running.? If linux do a killall bpq (or whatever the command is...)
?
Then restart BPQ.
?
The netstat command will identify what process is using each port.? You just have to get the options right...
?
?
When I initially read your message I did not see the bind error statement.? I'm getting old...

Re: Configure axip port in bpq32.cfg
Probably there is something else using udp port 10092 or 10093. You may be able to determine what with something like:
or
This should show you what process id/name is using that port. So you can either stop that process or find another unused UDP port to put on those lines in the bpq config. |
Packet Map Question?
Hello,
This may not be the right place for this question so please forgive me and direct me to the appropriate group.
?
I am wondering why on the packet map at:
?
?
My station shows everything as a (inet) port, but when I look at other stations HF ports they show (FSK)? I am also noticing that they show heard stations on their FSK ports, but for some reason the only heard stations I show are on my AX.25 links.

My bet is I do not have something configured properly, I would like to solve this.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Re: Config review
I would set quality to 0 by uncommenting the Quality line.? You don't need to use NetRom on an aprs frequency.
I would delete the MinQual line entirely (even though it is commented out) because MinQual is defined in the global section.
I would delete the BCALL parameter because the APRSDigi section does the beaconing using the AprsCall.
I would delete the Unproto and DigiFlag lines because the docs say they should normally be disabled on APRS ports.
?
(Note that if you enable the APRSDIGI on a port, you should normally disable the normal BPQ32 beacon and Digi functions on that port by setting DIGIFLAG=0 and omitting UNPROTO. )

IPv6
Hi John (G8BPQ),
I hope you have read my message of a couple of days ago to the list that outgoing IPv6 telnet forwarding doesn't work in the latest beta as well as the stable version. It fails to connect if I test it manually to a IPv6 only accessible tcp port. This makes that I can't forward to telnet servers who are only accessible over IPv6 or that IPv4/IPv6 accessible ports fall back to IPv4. They can access BPQ here with IPv6 over telnet, so luckily the mail flows with reserve forwarding in that way. Is there any solution to this? Regards, Boudewijn VE3TOK --- The issue with BPQ seems to be not the 'defaulting to IPv4' but that outgoing telnet to IPv6 fails to connect at all both in the latest stable and beta versions and this while IPv4 and IPv6 are both enabled for the telnet port, see below. -- I tested outgoing telnet from the BPQ node to a tcp port what can only handle IPv6 as I have a 6tunnel for IPv6 to Xnet, what is a IPv4 only program. 6tunnel converts here a IPv6 input at tcp port 24 to IPv4 at tcp port 23 what connects to Xnet. I tested this from the latest stable BPQ version as well as from the latest beta version and both are failing with outgoing telnet over IPv6. Re: RF Path
yes, like i replied earlier; the aprsis system will reject all dupes. so if a packet is sent by 2 methods or 20 methods, the first packet to arrive is accepted and all others are rejected. since there is minimal delay in sending a packet 'over the internet', that packet will arrive first 99 times out of 100 and therefore all other duplicate packets are rejected. :) good luck kb0wlf On Thu, May 22, 2025 at 8:26?AM Don via <donpjr=[email protected]> wrote:
