Are you sure that systemctl restart gb7esc.service worked and restarted BPQ? BTEXT is sent to the UNPROTO call specified in the PORT config, so if you don't have UNPROTO it won't set sent. 73,

Many of the legacy Yaesu mobiles with the circular data port on the rear such as the FT-8900R; the Kenwood TM-D700 and 710's have 9600 capability and can be put in KISS mode since they have tnc's?
