Re: IL2P in HF
RPR either costs a lot in SCS hardware, or you run an illegally distributed piece of windows software. Neither are optimum solutions.
When Direwolf officially supports the current state of IL2P I'll

Re: IL2P in HF
Sounds good, Rich. I can say MN, WI, IN, OH and PA then. :-)
If you see any of these stations in your MH for 7101.3 usb @ 1000Hz, you
should start seeing them on IL2P @

Re: IL2P in HF
Thanks for this info Lee. I have had QPSK V26A 600 on 7101.3 usb @ 2000Hz for 6+ months now. A few sigs were decoded shortly after I first enabled it but I have not copied anything since. I set it up

Re: IL2P in HF
Hello, Mauro,
Fyi, there is a relatively small quantity of stations in the Midwest using
IL2P on HF. They span Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio. As far as I
know we are all running FX25 and

IL2P in HF
Hi folks. Does anyone use IL2P? I tested the QTSoundmodem's IL2P and it
seems very good, but I don't see anyone commenting. Would it be better for
HF than the FX25?
TIA

Re: issues converting from packet to vara
You should be able to see if the VARA TNC has started. If not there is a problem with the program path in the ADDR line. As an additional test start VARAFM manually and see if BPQ then connects you'll

No, you should not need quotes. Just add the space.

Re: issues converting from packet to vara
If you're getting "Connection to TNC Failed" you aren't ATTACHED to the driver. From the terminal prompt do:
ATTACH (Port# of VARA FM)
C CALLSIGN
or whatever the sequence of commands you need to

Thanks for the follow up, Mark.
I am indeed moving to VARA with a clean start and will eliminate the packet section altogether once I verify VARA is working. When trying out a new config, I always

Well you could run them both simultaneously for a while as you phase out packet.? I never suggest running vara and packet on the same frequency for the long term because they are not aware of each

TCP-Master/Slave Links
Hello all,
I have been gradually converting unreliable TCP-Master/Slave links to UDP.
I still have 3 left that are not reliable:

Re: Assistance with P message routing
It was still happening after removing CEAM. I removed all of them other
than EU and .ME.USA.NOAM is now forwarding
as expected.
Thank you all for the help.

I am working towards converting our packet instances over to VARA to be more accessable for the majority of users these days. I thought I had the config correct but get "Connection to TNC Failed" in

Re: Assistance with P message routing
Yes. Depth 1 is always WW.? When routing is evaluated the route and address are compared from Right to Left, with WW always assumend at the end of the address.

Re: Assistance with P message routing
Check the HR field for the BBS you expect it to go to. If it really has ME.USA.NA then you should get a match at depth 4.
Unless you are using the latest bpqmail that lets you choose between 2 and 4

This format would not match personal mail hierarchical addressing.
Personal packet mail messaging should be the same as email messaging.

Re: Assistance with P message routing
Not necessisarily.? If you have one, and only one forwarding partner with a WW in the HR Personals routing then if you have a match at depth 2 (continent) or better then the message will follow that

Re: Assistance with P message routing
Routing a personal message on WW does not make sense as it means that
ANY forwarding partner could handle it. It is better to route based on
final destination. That is how the postal service does it.
