Despite fires and floods, heat domes and atmospheric rivers BC birders still managed to find another amazing and eclectic mix of interesting birds this year. Notice a real slant toward coastal regions this time compared to prior years. Cause and effect..perhaps. Volcanoes and locusts are next I suppose.?
??
Please vote for your bird of the year by sending me an email at goshawk67 at shaw dot ca. As always if you'd prefer to vote for a bird not on the list please feel free to do so. Regionally or seasonally rare sightings, and long-time nemesis birds that are finally located are often voted for. Or was this the year of the White-faced Ibis, which seemingly showed up in almost every region of the province at some point or another. Except for where I live.?

Please do not use this medium to register your vote. Please do send me an email instead. There are nearly 100 people who now? vote in this "highly anticipated" event......, and it's much easier for me to compile this super-scientific data if I get all of the votes sent to one place only.
?
And if a mega shows up between now and Jan 1 feel free to alter your vote if you must. Here's hopin'.
