This year
What's your plan for this year? Are you making any interesting changes? I'm going to take down my light towers that are supported by 2x4s and go back to the ones that use a giant metal spike deck spike. They seemed to stay in place better. I'm also planning on doing some tractor work to pitch the ice rink towards the downhill side. It doesn't need to be much, about 2-3 inches will be more than enough. That way any water should run off underneath. It's just been hard getting conditions to do this kind of thing--it seems like every time I go to do something it rains. Puckdropper

Dealing with pits
I had several small grapefruit size pits in my ice from the fast thaw. I don't like to fill them with just water, as an innie pit becomes an outie bump. How do you like to handle these things? Puckdropper
