I've received an email from Tom Calderwood, who?is head of the AAVSO PEP section, saying that he has an Optec photometer available for use on bright stars, which could be used by a UK observer.

Tom says? ?"a prospective?observer needs either a cassegrain scope of at least 8 inches aperture
