Meteor echo of the day.


 

Here are two screenshots showing reflections lasting just under two minutes.? Some might? call this sporadic E but a meteor head echo was clearly seen by the NW Hampshire receivers on the first screenshot timed at 06:49:20 showing that whatever it was it was triggered by the passage of a meteor.

I seem to have captured the same meteoroid using the GRAVEStransmitter.? At the higher frequency the event lasted just over a minute.? Similar broad bands in the specular scatter trail and there is the same evidence of the "head echo"

Hello Mike

The period covered by the screenshots is 06:48:20 to 06:50:15. The time stamp on each screen is when the screen was grabbed and the screen shows about one minute of data . I couldn't stop to grab another screenshot as I was on my way out of the house at the time.
