Scratching my head this evening – until I found out that the male-male SMA connector I was using had female rather than male members (but did have the outer ring expected of male SMA connectors…)!! A hermaphrodite SMA-SMA connector in fact! Finding one with the usually gender change members worked instantly!!

I heard a nice long ping early this morning on 87.7 Mhz, sounded like Sweden coming in. Perhaps it was a long Leonid. First time I've heard anything at all overnight on the Sony HiFi and telescopic antenna for a long time.

Hi All,

I'd like to make a suggestion = would it be possible to set up a buy and sell classified section for the group? Short of eBay, I don't know of any good places to buy stuff for radio astronomy and I think it would be popular amongst members.

Just tested this today and clear hydrogen signal on ezRA suite's ezCol program, demonstrating that this aerial works effectively for hydrogen line detection.

TFK (37.5kHz) went off air at 23:38 last night presumably because Grindavik nearby was also evacuated last night

in fear of a volcanic eruption. They've had thousands of earthquakes in the past few days and they are showing a magma dike

intrusion that goes right by the transmitter!
