开云体育

Hello everyone.

?

I am based in Australia, and I am aware of the Exmouth VLF Transmitter.

?

Is anyone aware of any other VLF transmitters in or near Australia.

?

Thanks

Re: New Grindavik eruption

Started 20 minutes into the France - England match so I spent the evening switching between that and

Shawn Willsey is a geology Prof in Idaho - great communicator!

We have been thinking that there is a need for some tutorials about how to use the muon detector data for some weeks. The recent postings to the muon forum have encouraged us to organise a set of short, say one hour, online tutorials to cover, readers of this forum may also be interested:

  • Setting up and operating a headless RaspberryPi
  • How to communicate with a muon detector and log data to a computer.
  • Using Python to process the data.
  • Presenting the data graphically using Python to produce? counts/min/day/month and Frequency distribution for events graphs

The tutorial would also illustrate how observers could share data using a common format and metadata.

We are in discussions with a trainer and will post details in the next couple of weeks.? At the end of the course each attendee will have their own code to process and visualise their results.

If you are interested in one or all of these tutorials, please let me know by email.

Brackets from ebay to alter elevation of cantenna/small aerials

Always a difficult thing to make/find, at least here in UK – discovered that 2 of these aerial brackets attached back to back do good job (form ebay.co.uk).

The white-painted steel pipe is ?3.99 from Focus hardware store in UK.

Re: GB3MBA OFF

Hi Brian

Interesting? - the status page looks like all is working except only 0.1-0.2W forward power. I'll be interested in a report on what the fault is once it's sorted.

First light of my homemade cantenna

开云体育

Following advice from members of SARA on how to make one of these for hydrogen line radio observing, I’ve had a go at making a cantenna and am amazed at how easy it is to make and how effective – instant results!

See to view first light trace.

Given that the Nooelec 1.4GHz mesh aerial went up from ?50 to ?100 and is now ?132 on Amazon, a cheap alternative is really needed!!

This would be great alternative for the SARA Scope in a Box Project.

If I can get my interferometer working then will be really interesting as next step to see if fringes can be obtained with 2 cantennae!!!

Re: Special Tribute to HAARP Former Chief Scientist Chris Fallen

This follows up my previous post.?

Below are the details of the transmission that is planned for 0700 UTC on 7.75 MHz:

5 minute sequence: 15 sec QST DE KL3WX QST DE KL3WX 5 sec OFF 120 seconds AM modulation - 01_UAFLogo_Scottie1.wav (SSTV Image) 5 sec OFF 120 seconds AM modulation - 02_GILogo_Scottie1.wav (SSTV Image) 5 sec OFF 15 sec 73 DE KL3WX 73 DE KL3WX 15 sec OFF

The time is more reasonable for Europe than westward, and I hope we get some reception reports from you!
